And, oh well, that we are in Greece, and, oh well, that it's still summer, and, oh well, that Zakynthos is an island that thrives on tourism... But we paid the full price so the information provided should be correct and truthful and covenants should be respected. Even in the Greek islands.
This is our experience.
Four weeks in advance, we booked a flexible rate (in order to possibly be cancelable) but, only AFTER having paid the deposit, we were informed by email that “This is a last minute booking. Last minute bookings cannot be modified or canceled without penalty (i.e. the loss of the deposit paid = €90)”. And, oh well, we'll go there, we have no other choice anyway.
On the online booking sites of Elena Studios it is clearly specified: "Superb breakfast" (continental breakfast at €8 per person), "Room service" and "Tavern just 200 meters away" (see photos) these are the reasons that have contributed to making us choose this structure since, although a little far from the city, at least it would not have given us problems in terms of food.
Unfortunately, what pompously advertised was not absolutely true: there is no breakfast service nor room service (the only unpleasant alternative is to order from delivery restaurants with limited choices at obviously much higher prices: when asked if we could have at least a hot espresso, we were told "just a Greek coffee"). Also there is no tavern "only 200 meters" as described, but more than a kilometer and a half: "The Green Boat".
The room - studio - assigned to us was small and very noisy (the structure is in fact located on the main coastal road, but, fortunately, by closing the windows - an essential condition for the air conditioning to work - the external noises are attenuated), the towels from the bathroom, changed only every 3 days, looked like "emery paper", the pillows were overly puffy (overstuffed with kapok), the - very very tiny - bathroom smelled strongly of mold and lacked shampoo or other basic amenities.
The island's water is not drinkable (very salty) so it is essential to use only bottled mineral water.
And, oh well, we will buy everything we need…: easy to say but only if you have your own means of transport. With no public buses and very expensive taxis, the only option would be to go well over 2 + 2 km - loaded and on foot - under the scorching sun.
And, oh well, ….. but at least we can swim in the sea whenever we want!!… The panoramic "natural marine pool" in front, in the online photos, is unfortunately not suitable for bathing (shallow and with large slippery stones).
And, oh well, net of all these unpleasant surprises, the view of the sea is pleasant, and Elena is nice, smiling and kind.
Tip: it is essential to have your own means of transport (otherwise, stay close to the city!).

And, oh well, this is a Greek island...!

The room is near a very circulated road. It's very noisy. 
The AC was not working properly. 
The host was not helpful when asking for restaurant information. 
There is no beach nearby. The photo posted is from another booking, not from this.
No parking available on site. The parking is on the main street that is very transited. It's very dangerous to park there.
The WiFi is disconnected every 5 minutes. The technician should be here the next day to fix it... but he didn't appear.
The pillows had a bad smell and the hot water from shower need 20 min to be hot.
As the owner said, No English, no worries!

Worst booking ever

Elena’s studio’s and appartements is very pretty villa at the end of the road just outside Zante. The studios are very comfortable and super clean. The view from the terras out of the Ionian sea is breathing. The private beach is lovely but rocky, sea is very clear. Free sunbeds and umbrellas. Comfortable bed and modern bathroom make it very pleasant stay. Basic kitchenette is enough for the stay if you want to cook yourself. The family that runs the accommodation, Elena and her daughter Joy are the most welcoming and sweet people you come across, they give you very warm welcome and make sure you have everything you need. Joy helps you with arranging tours or rentals or anything you need to know about the island. Wonderful warm family. Book with Elena. Highly recommended 👍

Wonderful holidays under the Greek sun

Yes, the price is low, but so is the room quality: a short and uncomfortable bed, a useless tv (see picture), a dirty shower, the AC didn't work and neither did the fridge. Only for people with very low expectations.

Don’t expect any luxuriousness

The apartments themselves were adequate for basic self catering.There is not a bar service. The room was quait clean , we find some hair on the floor from the previous guest.
Our real concern was the distance to any tavernas,  even the bus.Contrary to description it is at least a 30 minute walk to the bus station and the centre of Zante town, so we rent a car weren't  in troumble .the pension is standing on a  road, which separates you from the sea. 
On a positive, Elena was very accommodating and welcoming.

The apartments themselves were adequate for basic self catering but nothing to entertain children. There is not a bar service as such, but you could buy a beer and sit on a terrace.
Our real concern was the distance to any tavernas, shops or even the bus! We ended up having to get a hire car at higher cost because it was last minute booking but would not have managed without it. Contrary to description it is at least a 45 minute walk to the bus station and the centre of Zante town. Onward buses were very limited on times and you could only go to 5 other places. The nearest mini supermarket was about 1/2 hour away although there was a nearer kiosk that sold water. The only taverna in walking distance was the Green Boat which was excellent but we would have liked a choice!
On a positive, Elena was very accommodating and welcoming. Excellent house keeping service.

Location!

We were here for our short holiday.The room was always cleaning and  the view of the sea was amazing.you must to go if you want to stay near Zakinthos town and visit all the island by scooter or car.The price is very cheap.

Confortable

I called for a reservation to line up a room to pansion elena and after having an arrangement about the room with the owner,one day after ms elena called and declare to me that the reservation is canceled and without conversetion she just hung up the phone to me and when i called again to speak to her she never answer..not a bit professional,not a bit dependability,not a bit politeness!!!
