83 reviewsSuch a special and magical village. My husband and I hiked the Zagori region the first few days of November 2023. Our room at Hotel Machalas was spacious, super clean and comfortable. Kitchenette was provided and large bathroom with good hot water. We only stayed one night and would liked to have stayed longer. The grounds of the hotel were just beautiful and the village was very quaint. Breakfast was provided by hotel in the morning with plenty of food: eggs, fruit, veggies, meat, cheeses, pastries, coffee and various juices. Delicious! Staff was friendly and helpful. We were there at the end of the season and only a few tourists around. Restaurant for evening meal was across the street, delish. Local wines provided at a very reasonable price. Cannot comment on parking as we did not have a car. Several sets of stairs to get to/ from room and breakfast area so if you are someone who has a difficult time with stairs, this is not the place for you; Highly recommend!
