Peaceful Bay

We stayed at Peaceful Bay for 13 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The accommodation is located right on the sea, with your own direct access into the large clear swimming pool (the ocean). The sea is crystal clear and so refreshing! We had one of the downstairs studios, which was compact with everything that you needed. A comfortable double bed, a decent shower and bathroom and a great outside seating area with a large table and four "director" type chairs. The studio was well maintained and spotlessly clean, with all the linen and towels being changed on a regular basis. We were well looked after by Tonia and Stavroula, who could not do enough for you and were very friendly and always available to help or provide some advice on the area. The accommodation is located in a lovely village that is quiet and has a bus stop directly outside the property. We did not have a car and used the bus to get around, as the bus service is very reliable and frequent and goes around the main places on the island. The fare to Ermoupoli is €1.70 for roughly a 40 minute journey. Tonia keeps the fridge stocked with all the staples you may need while on holiday. It is a great advantage, if like us you arrive late and need a quick snack and drink when you arrive. As you use the products they are refreshed and charged at the local rate. It is a great service and provides an additional support to the limited shop that is in the village. If you want a peaceful holiday in a great location with excellent unspoilt views over to the local islands this is the place. Syros as a whole is an excellent place to spend a vacation and you will definitely be looked after by Tonia and Stavroula. Thank you!
