Symi Fos

In Symi you need to decide either central location or a good view. Both together at the same place is very few and unnecessarily expensive. Kirilos Studios is 40mt behind the harbor. Harbor is everything in Symi. Restaurants, shops, cafes and all others. Everything is only 2 min walking. Very handy. Another choice for the good view is to climb up the endless steps of steep hills every morning and evening and you happily pay for this hassle. Climb once, get your drink and take your pics. All done. For this reason the best part of Kirilos Studios is the location. Right in the heart of the harbor. Room is large enough for a family. There is even a nylon curtain in the shower which is very rare in Greek island studios. Everywhere is all clean and daily sheet and towel change. Owner is very friendly and helpful. He even greeted us at the ferry port on our first arrival. Last but not least the price is one of the most important pro of the Krilos. If you want to be away from the church bells every morning and evening, this is not the place for you. Next door is the church and there is only one wall separating Krilos garden and the church garden. The balcony could be larger which hardly fits only two tiny chairs and a table. Still it is a nice place to have breakfast with the mountain view of Symi. Don't miss the fresh, warm pastries of the bakery in the harbor right across the bridge for your breakfasts.
