Very clean and quiet. Amazing view, couldn't have better. You can see the planes taking off at your left and the sunset right in front of you. At an excellent location were you can reach every corner of the island at a reasonable time, only 3 minutes by car from the port. Very reasonable price and definitely worth its money. Way better than a hotel.

The apts are just what we were looking for,well equiped and in a quiet location.
Roula and her husband were very helpful,and friendly, they gave us good advise where to go for the quieter out of the way beaches.

We stayed 4 nights at Roula studios in Adamas. The studio was clean and the bathroom was the bigger we had in Greece. It is located in the way to the airport from Adamas, not in Adamas center. The only inconvenient is that they do not accept credit cards, you have to pay in cash and also that you cannot leave any food outside the fridge because you will find it with ants. The views from the terrace are gorgeous, we enjoyed a lot the sunset in there. The room was cleaned every day and towels and sheets were replaced every two days. We had a problem with internet conexion, that was solved the next day and also with the water of the shower. One day it was imposible to get cold water to make a shower. The kitchen has two heaters, coffe machine and machine to heat water. There is no toaster or microwave. I would say the studios are good, but the views make me say they are very good.

Good value with incredible views near Adamas, only problem no credit cards

Our stay was 1-9 of September. The rooms were pretty, and the amenities were satisfactory, and the owner was polite and accommodating when it came to some minor faults (i.e.broken shower tap and hook, she arranged to be fixed the next day). The beds were comfortable and rustic. What is failing to show in the pictures of their ads -and of course not mentioned in the description- is that the studios are neither "next to the beach" as the pictures imply, nor in an beautiful environment. There is a reason that the prices go down when the summer ends and September starts. The position of the building is about 500m from the island's diesel power plant and 200m from an ore-loading port dock (both within view). That means that a) the area around is an effective wasteland (the owners have made a beautiful and relaxing garden, and you better stick with it, don't look behind the plants!) b) it is close to the docks, so swimming near the area where ships load and offload stones, gravel, and dirt from the mines, is not the best idea, and c) when the north summer winds of the island stop, and/or turn to south winds, the stick of diesel fumes and exhaust blackness... Effectively, there is a constant noise from the plant (as we found out, on Sep 1st "the new, rented generators are removed, and the old noisy ones start). It is worse than being in a noisy city, as the only way to get round it is to close all windows and start the a/c, but that will not help when you wake up and come out to drink your coffee outside on the porch. I took some pictures to show around and the l o n g  walk to the beach... I guess the place is better in the summer time. Just beware of the LOCATION.

Location - Location - Location

Me and my wife stayed at Roula Studios for 3 nights in September 2006.  The room we stayed in was fairly large and provided everything we needed.  There was an en-suite bathroom with shower, and in the main living area there was a stove and cooking utensils, a double bed, a TV and some chairs.  Outside there was a table and chair with a nice view over the bay.

The studios are located about 5-10 minutes drive from the main town, so the only way to get around is to hire a car or a moped.  The owner's husband was very kind and offered to give us a lift to the studio on our arrival, since we arrived at 11pm on a ferry from Folegandros.

Unfortunately, on the last day when we came to pay, we didn't have the exact amount in cash, and the owner (Roula) took advantage of the situation and refused to give us our €10 change.  This obviously left us feeling cheated and was not a nice way to end our time on Milos.  It doesn't matter that it was only €10, it's the principle that counts.
