Regina Studios

We simply love Regina Studios in Panormos, the best location on the island of Skopelos, just minutes from Panormos, Melia and Kastani beach. The studios are spacious, clean, light and airy with all you need and expect from a self catering accommodation in Greece. What makes this space so special is the VIEW! Your private balcony with sitting area overlooks Panormos Bay, while you are surrounded by rolling green hills and the freshness of pine trees forest. Simply divine! The studios are so peaceful and quiet: you will sleep like a baby after a day of water sports and lounging on the beach ( we used to go for Melia beach - just 5 minutes on a motorbike for its rustic vibe and fantastic swims ). In the evening, we loved having a drink on our balcony watching the sun goes down and gazing at the moon and stars shining bright above us. Great, authentic, unpretentious greek experience away from the big city's hustle and bustle but at the same time very comfortable and reasonably priced. Just 5 minutes walk down the road you can find local bars, tavernas and a supermarket, but do not expect a lot going on, nights are quiet and most of the places close at midnight. Definitely not a party area, perfect for romantic dinner or a cocktail on the beach! The owners: Regina and her family are very friendly, helpful and respectful and we would like to thank them all for hosting us. Another definite highlight is a visit to their taverna GIANNIS, located on Panormos Beach under a gorgeous fig tree, just 5 minutes walk from the studios. The taverna is family run by Mihalis and his mother and father ( who kept singing cheerfully from the kitchen) and we cannot recommend it enough for the quality and freshness of their home made food! All the portions are generous and the food tastes divine! We have tried most of the restaurants and tavernas on the island but this one is the best! Try their Greek salad, sea brim, lamb chops, fried zucchini and stuffed tomatoes: all made with love! We have enjoyed mainly late lunches, but the place seemed very busy in the evenings as well. We cannot wait to come back to this magical place next summer and breathe the fresh mountain and sea air again. Rated with love, Krasimira and Maria from London
