Villa Zaharo and Lilian Apartments

Our stay at Villa Zaharo y Lilian was fabulous, sadly we got off to a bad start as the airline company lost our suitcase, hence we were without holiday gear. Thank you to Stathis & Kosta (snack bar owner) for making our stay so welcoming and for their kindness. Not only did they offer us clothes, shoes etc on our first day they went out of their way to support us, which we will not forget. This is our second time at Zaharo and the reason we returned was purely for their hospitality which cannot be faulted. It´s the little small details that count when something goes wrong which is out of your hands, they called taxis and much more, the support was incredible, and the communication. The apartment we were given (number 6) was very spacious, had a big bedroom, kitchen, and terrace which overlooked the sea, the views are to die for. Inside the bedroom were a double charger which helped us enormously, soap, shower gels and shampoo. The room was cleaned and changed everyday, i liked that. When we got to our apartment we forgot about our suitcase being lost as it was so easy to relax in this environment, the apartments are surrounded by foliage, and flowers absolutely beautiful setting, with only the crickets making noise. It was very quiet and peaceful. The snack bar downstairs has a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea, the food is very good and reasonable. There is a bus stop within 5 minutes walking distance down the road, bus stop 20 which takes you to Skiathos town for 2 euros, you can buy your ticket from the supermarket or bus monitor. Skiathos town and port is absolutely stunning, ther are two ports and the meandering back streets are worth the walk. Take the ferry from Skiathos town to Skopolos, takes about 1 hour and definitely worth the trip. Kastani the famous Mamma Mia beach is on Skopolos. We also take a boat trip on the Traditional Yacht with Konstantinos and his wife, its an all day trip with delicious food (Konstantinos is a chef) and they take you to different beaches. The boat is an old wooden one with character. All in all this is our 4th visit to Skiathos and 2nd time to Zaharo y Lilian and we´ll probably return again in the not too distant future but without a big suitcase LOL.
