Most comfortable bed ever. If you can manage the steps to this little gem then the view is amazing. Mike carried my suitcase up for me and provided a pick up and drop off service. He is a lovely guy. The room was cleaned daily 

We visited this nice hotel for the third time . Michael came to fetch us from the airport.  And when it was time to leave to the next island he drove us to the harbour. Everything worked.

The location is just in the center oppositions of the sailing boat harbour. 

I can recommend this hotel warmly.

This is not a hotel, rather, rooms to book.  If you are looking for luxury (even mid/low range luxury) this is absolutely not the right choice for you.  The location is excellent, right in Skiathos town.  Walking distance to everything; restaurants, bars, shops, and the bus.  We picked this spot for that reason alone.  The room we stayed in had a larger balcony with unbelievable views, however, the room was tiny.  I would say, probably the smallest room I have ever stayed in in Europe.  Again, we assumed this booking this room, so we weren't that surprised or disappointed.  You get what you pay for.  For what we paid, the rooms were excellent.  The rooms were clean, had WIFI, and an AC unit that worked.  For what we paid for, absolutely no complaints.  The owner of the "hotel" was extremely kind and offered us water, jam, and soaps upon arrival/departure.  Very sweet guy.  Overall, we enjoyed our stay and for the price we paid, I would definitely recommend this hotel! One important factor; if you have problems with mobility, this is absolutely not the "hotel" for you.  There are many steps to go up and it may be difficult for elderly people or people with knee issues.  We stayed at this hotel July (2017).  Some time has passed, however, this "hotel" is deserving of a good review!

This is not a hotel, but typical Greek rooms which offer basic clean accommodation.  Each room has WiFi, air conditioning, TV and a fridge - what more could you want?  The view from our room 2, was spectacular.  We overlooked the port, waking each morning to glorious sunshine.  The bathroom was small but offered a very efficient shower, toilet and basin.  The rooms are close to the bus terminal in the port which makes it very easy to explore the beaches along the coast road.  I would not recommend the rooms to anyone who has mobility problems.  We counted 132 steps from bottom to top, quite a climb but justified the amount of food we ate in the superb restaurants we found in the area.  Very near to the Windmill and Final Step restaurants, we quickly found alternative routes through the town, which meant we didn't have to climb the steps on every outing.  As previously said, Michael the owner is a great host.  His brother was also friendly, nothing too much trouble, but never over attentive.  Great value for money.

The owner Michael met us at the airport and gave us a friendly welcome.(we suggest you arrange this with Michael before travelling as the place could be difficult to find if dropped by taxi) Allocated a lovely room(7) with great views across the bay. Balcony furniture was very comfortable and facilities good. Convenient location for port & local shops/tavernas though quiet and no traffic noise. Not for anyone with walking difficulties as there are quite a few steps to negotiate. Port transfer on departure. Can definitely recommend.

I had one of the rooms on the top floor, and the view was really
spectacular. The location is also good, not too far from the port and
just a couple of minutes from the bus. As also has been noted by other
reviewers, there are many stairs to climb from the main road and to
the room (around 30 big steps to the house, and then 72 more before
you're in your room if you stay on the top floor. For me this was not
a problem, but still an issue to be aware of for those that normally
prefer elevators. It should be noted that although on the plus side
the top floor have great views, the balcony is quite narrow so even for
one person it is not very comfortable (the balconies in the floor under had OK size from what I could see). Another issue to be aware of,
is that when first arriving it can be quite difficult to find the
place, the location on the map will be of minor help, and while I was
trying to find the place it was also obvious that many of the locals
(including the taxi driver) in the area did not know about the place,
which resulted in a 20 minute walk around the area with backpack
trying to find out where it was. Adding to the problem, is that the
place has no staff in the house (which I didn't know, so spent some time ringing the bell before I called on phone) and it is not marked so you don't even know when you have arrived at the right place. The manager offers free
transfer from the port, so to save trouble in finding the place I
advice using this service (he also said he would have picked me up at the airport if he knew that I was coming there, so the general advice is to contact him before arrival). But except from the location problem, I found the place good value for money, it has as mentioned also by other reviewers a very friendly manager, and the view from the top floor was really great!

Worth it for the view

We visited as a group of 11 and had various rooms! First to note is that it is not easy to find. The majority of our group were picked up at the hotel by Michael the owner. We got a taxi and were dumped at the bottom of a grey slope close to the windmill restaurant. We eventually found it guided by our friends. If you end up in the same situation then do not walk right up the steep slope but bear off to your left. Carry on walking until you see some dark grey painted steps on your right. Climb up and the rooms are at the top on the right hand side. And so to the rooms. We had the top room with the panoramic view and it is tiny. A three quarter double bed with a tiny bathroom. The balcony was also small but we managed to squeeze on there and the view was terrific. Bit small for us though. Other friends had the twin rooms with sea view which were much bigger and more suitable. Our single friend had the single room which was still bigger than ours. One couple had the room with veranda terrace which was a smaller room but with a much larger balcony.All of the rooms came with air con included which for Greece is not always the case. All of the rooms had a fridge but no tea or coffee making facilities which was a shame and could so easily be rectified! If you need a hairdryer then you will need to get one from Michael so advice is to take your own. Michael brought us all fresh fruit almost daily which was a nice touch and gave us a little gift on the day of departure! He did give our friends a lift to the airport as we were all going at different times. He did not collect us to take us for our journey home and must have been otherwise engaged! No problem though as a cab at the waterfront is 10 euro's. The property is overlooking the port and during the week we worked out quicker routes to different parts of the town for a bit of relief on the old legs. Would I stay here again? Possibly as Michael tries his best to engage with his customers. Checkout is 12.00 midday but Michael has a property opposite where you can leave your luggage and there is a shower room attached so if you have a later flight you can have a bit of a normal day! Big downside is no safety deposit boxes. Michael said it would be no problem but we still had concerns and ended up stashing money and cards around the room. I will note that out of our party of 11 nothing went missing. Still concerning though! If you walk down the hill to the port it brings you out at the terminus for the buses. Handy as you get on early and generally have a seat! The cleaners were terrific and came in every day with a clean sheet and took all our rubbish away which was handy for us in our tiny room. If you have strong legs and can cope with the hilly area then its not a bad choice especially if you are on a budget!

Basic and nice but unsuitable for people with walking difficulties

I booked this room for 2 weeks in July through booking.com in December. Immediately after I was contacted by Michael asking if I would book directly with them. I was offered a small discount (€16) and a room at front of building with a view of the port. I was asked to pay in instalments through the winter to help them out. I agreed and paid in 3 payments . I then booked another week in May. On arrival I was told the Agnantema was not ready and placed in the sister hotel. It was tired but ok. Again Michael apologised and reassured me I would have a room at the front for July. In June I asked for a price for September and was told to find a price and again reassured I would get a front room. 
On arrival in July, I was very disappointed to find I was in a room on the side of the building with a view of a lane and a balcony barely the width of a small chair. I asked Michael why I was not at the front as agreed. He said had I booked with booking.com it would have been at the back so I was lucky! After asking on a number of occasions I was told all front rooms were booked and nothing could be done, and it would have cost a lot more at the front. I was very upset. 
I noticed that in the bathroom the basin did not drain away and I hoped the cleaning staff would deal with it. They didn’t. I kept asking and it finally got fixed on day 10. 
I also had to let Michael know that the bathroom was not being cleaned properly. The soap dishes, shower wall and shower drain were quite disgusting. I took photos and sent them several times. I then got a very rude message from Michael telling me to stop sending fake photos. The next morning I took a video and only then did anything get done. Oddly a room at the front became available, but as I only had 48 hours left of my holiday, it wasn’t worth moving. 
I have now been warned that if I write anything negative, I will be taken to court for loss of business
