We almost didn’t stay here because of the reviews but I’m really glad we did. No, they don’t speak much English but certainly enough to get by. She is caring and the rooms are clean. We had a fabulous balcony and our room and property looked just like the photos. It’s not luxurious but it’s central, clean and an amazing value. Our 8 year old was welcomed and loved every minute. WiFi is only by the pool but what a view!

Authentic Greek Experience

Its a cheap hotel, and u get what you Pay for. There are certain hours of check inn or out, if your flight arrives as ours un complicated hours, they dont even Let you Let your loggage. Well it wasnt that bad. They dont speak english, just greek, and there Is no soap, shampoo in the bathroom. No cleaning was Made any day. The good? The owner Is polite, and it Is centric. And yes u have a View of the see, but almost all have a View on the sea because Is an Island. Si you can go, it seems old but Clean, if you really want to save Money. A really cheap hotel, like an hostal but with your own bathroom. 

There are better options

First off, I have to admit we made a reservation and paid for the room here, but never spent the night. Stella is located on the backside of the island, so you do not get the views you expect when in Santorini. It's only footsteps away from the other side, but if you want to look out your window and see white buildings along the beautiful coast - you will be disappointed staying here. We thought finding a budget friendly stay would be ideal, but within hours we moved on to a more expensive resort that gave us the Santorini experience we were looking for. 

In our brief interactions Stella's was inviting and nice, great pool area, basic bedrooms with basic beds, but ideal for a low budget trip to Santorini. It all depends on what you want from your trip....

Okay for budget traveler

The studios are well placed. Near to Fira from where you can get anywhere on the island. However, the place is medium. You have a supermarket in front and there is a good taverna. Not recommended for couples. It is not a Roma place to spend your vacation. 

Great location

The room was ok: clean, small and cozy, but is fine for such a cheap price.
The real thing is the host.

During the 2nd day of my stay, I've put my laptop on my bed before I leave the hotel. The room was cleaned and they made up my bed. When I checked my laptop (still on my bed), it was BROKE and apparently someone dropped it on the floor. I tried to talk to the host, the two ladies (should be the mother and daughter) said they know nothing about my computer and even denied they made up my bed -- "No one touch your bed. We only sweep the floor" I was like WTF? If no one touched it, are there any ghosts who dropped my computer? I did not plan to ask for any compensation but just expecting someone should at least admit the incident and apologize. When I asked them how come my laptop was broken, the daughter stopped for a few seconds and said "We're closed today." and slammed the reception door.

On the last day, the receptionist (mother) allowed us to store the luggages in the living room initially, when we got back to pick them up at 5pm, she looked angry and kept asking us "Take your stuffs and go!".

I've never encountered a host like this. This is probably the worst hotel I've ever been to throughout my past 20 years of life. A few words to those who're reading this: DO NOT CHOOSE THIS ONE BECAUSE OF THE PRICE. THEY'RE TERRIBLE.

At last, if you're the host who's reading this review: shame on you and you're a disgrace of your country, you don't even have the GUTS to admit your mistakes.

Terrible, irresponsible and rude hosts

The place is well located on the main avenue in Firostefani but too close to the main road. Very busy traffic with cars and lots of noise.

We booked 4 rooms for 6 people for 4-7 nights and the experience was truly horrible. It's cheap and you don't expect a luxurious stay, but you expect to get what you pay for. The ad is misleading and clearly amounts to misrepresentation:

- 3 rooms didn't have hot water before 11am
- toiletries are not provided (only hand soap)
- they don't speak English : Stella was only able to say "no no no" to most of our questions
Wifi is only available in reception
- The pictures shown on the website only show the best room, the rooms we booked were that from being that glamorous
- No housekeeping at all during the whole stay
- Finally we were very angry that the pool was closed because the "water is cold".

The weather was great last week with temperatures in their mid 20s and it should be up to the paying guests to use it, water being cold or not. Stella took the decision to close it despite stating the pool was available on the website. This is clearly misrepresentation and theft when you advertise for a service which is not provided. You pay for something you don't get, there's only one word: stealing.

Horrified and scandalised that a place with so many problems and lies is still in business !

First,  we were very very excited about choosing Stella Nomikou Apartments as the pictures looked lovely. However,the arrival was very disappointing and shocking. 

To start with, we were accommodated in a very unprofessional way and noone asked us for our passports. There was no reception to be welcomed at since it is a family's living room. The dad of the family welcomed as and was the only 's "reasonable" person in the family. 

We came at the hotel at 12 and since the room was not ready we asked to leave the languages in the living room and when its ready if it was possible to transfer the 2 small light bags in the room. The daughter of the family or "receptionist" called the housekeeper or "mom" to check when the room will be ready. We said we do not mind as we have to go and return in the afternoon.

When we came back at 17:00, we saw that the bags were still in the living room and the mom was not happy that we came at this time since she said that she had the room ready earlier and then the paranoia started. 

We asked why were our bags still in their living room and she said that we do not move the bags and that we can move them ourselves while the daughter denied offering us to transfer the bags obviously because she was afraid of the mother. 

Our company which was leaving the day of our arrival asked us if they could change Clothes before the departure in our room, practically 5 minutes ( not even use the toilet or the shower) and we did not mind of course.

The mom "housekeeper"  denied us the entrance to the room unless these 2 people (my uncle and untie) (serious, decent people left).  My uncle was holding a t-shirt, the one that he wanted to change into, and the housekeeper started to scream in the middle of the street, that he is holding a towel and when he even showed her the t-shirt she kept the paranoia going.  After 30 minutes of her screaming at us in the middle of the street she did not allow us to to in the room. since we prepaid the room from booking.com she would not refund us, having a big fat smile that she gained 45 euros we said that we are not allowed a refund and kept insulting us. After we threatened her that we would call the police if she wouldn't give us the money back, she blackmailed us to cancel the reservation from booking.com and give her the key of the room before she sent us the money back ( so we are not allowed to write a review). 

This was something indescribable that I have never came across with. A family that hosts so many ignorant tourists and getting their income out of it to speak in this way and to insult us in every step of the way. She only allowed 1 person to go with her at the living room and locked the door so the others where still in the middle of the street for the refund.

If you do not want such a surprise during your holiday,  stay away.

The double basic room was very tiny, old, dirty and the door of our room led straight into the street where was quite a busy road and cars passing not even a metre from our door. The WiFi is practically non-existing here and we had to go outside our room to have a signal. The pictures and info online are misleading, untrue and Photoshoped.
