Marianna Hotel

From the first moment we arrived, until we left, our stay at the Marianna was perfect. The staff are all lovely, the rooms are well proportioned and our 2 rooms had views over the pool and the sea. The pool area and bar are well kept and a good size. As other reviews have mentioned, there were no towel wars to lay claim to a sunbed - there were always beds available, no matter the time of day. The bar is really well run and the barman is so lovely and super helpful - always willing to offer advice and have a chat. The rooms - as with the rest of the hotel - were kept spotlessly clean throughout our stay. The location is great. With it being out of the centre of Perissa, it was lovely and quiet, but also only a 5 mins downhill walk to the beach and the first crop of bars and restaurants. Perissa itself has lots to offer by way of bars and restaurants, but balances that well with being a calm and pleasant resort. It is also a perfect location to visit the busier towns of Fira and Oia, along with a number of beautiful smaller villages scattered locally. Our only minor grumble was the lack of self catering options and small size of fridge in the rooms, but I put that down to me not reading descriptions sufficiently in advance, as everything else was perfect. Do not hesitate to book and we will hopefully be back again 1 day!
