We had a great stay at Hotel Eltina! The hotel is extremely close to the beach, and about a 25 minute walk from old town Rethymno.

Great location 2 blocks from the beach, walking distance to restaurants/shops, and next door to a large grocery store. The pool was lovely and never crowded.The staff was very friendly and happy to answer questions. The breakfast was AMAZING, and I looked forward to it each morning. The laundry facilities were easy to use.Clean, spacious room with very comfortable bed and pillows. Cute cafe table and chairs on the balcony as well as a drying rack.One tiny drawback: the wifi was spotty in our room, and we had problems maintaining a connection. (It was fine in the lobby and at the pool.)

Excellent hotel, very quiet! The room was perfectly clean. The bedding is super comfortable! And the receptionist is extremely welcoming and caring. A very nice establishment 3 min walk from the beach!

Great hotel

Fabulous hotel with good rooms. We got a small two room apartment with a lot of space. First we got one at the first floor but people could se everything we did. So we wanted to change. They were very helpful and fixed it for us. Fine breakfast kind staff and a clean swimmingpool.

Fabulous hotel 🛍️

Great hospitality from day one, whole hotel like one big family!! Great for holiday with friends or family!!! Perfect location only 5 minutes from main strip!! Petros is the best host around! Would absolutely recommend!!!

Genuinely one of the best places I’ve stayed in. Close to beaches, restaurants, bars and a supermarket. It’s about a 30 minute walk from the hotel to the old town, but the walk along the waterfront is lovely, and there’s also a bus stop across the road which is super convenient (you can buy bus tickets directly from the hotel reception). I walked home alone late at night, and never felt unsafe in the area. It was, however, the staff that were the standout for me - they were so friendly and accommodating, and really made me feel welcome (especially as a solo female traveller) - they went above and beyond to make my stay truly memorable. I will definitely be returning!!

It is not so easy to write a helpful review, perfect hotel for someone could be the worst for onother one. But... Eltina Hotel is great for long stay, is located 100meters from the beach, next to supermarket but few kilometers from central bus stop, taxi costs 6-7 euros to get there. Atmosphere in the hotel is great, staff helpful and smiling. The room was cleaned every day. Hotel has an outside pool so You can relax in the water if you don't want to swim in the sea. Of course Eltina Hotel is not a five star hotel but is a really nice place. Room is equipped with a stove and oven , tableware so the guests can cook dishes by yourselves.

Perfect for sensible prize

It seems, the standard old-fashioned apartments, not new, but almost everything works. but  the bathroom is new and much better than the kitchen and other furniture.

 the view in our room was not mentioned, because the balcony was at street level. the hotel is far from the Old Town, wide beaches and bus station.  without a car you can use the local bus (ticket - 1 euro, you can buy at reception; but it rarely goes), or walk (30-40 minutes).

 we were traveling for one night.  but I think that a young family can spend a vacation here without any pretensions - you can cook in the apartment.

 we booked for a day in the season, so although the choice was small, but the price / quality ratio is quite satisfactory.  Recommended 👍

Oldie but goodie

The staff was amazing! They went out of their way to help us in anyway they could. Awesome breakfast with lots of variety. Would definitely stay there again.
