Prinos Resort

I stayed at Prinos Resort with my friends for summer vacation in August 2021. We found this place on Airbnb. The place itself is very very similar to the marketing photos they show. There are 4 houses in the resort and they are all the same. Each house is completely independent. Our house was the last one in the row, and it was spotless. Photos are provided, but they are taken on the day of the departure, not on the day of the arrival. The house is very big, there is sleeping place for 8 adults, we had 5 (? ) balconies, fully equipped kitchen, bed sheets, towels, everything. You can ask the host for additional cleaning of the house, and for new towels. The host is very nice and approachable. Her English is not the best for speaking, but she understands you very well. Her son also helps a lot, and his English is very good. We made a viber group with them, and contacted them just about anything. They are always available and answer to your messages very quickly. I would also like to state a few downsides, but they are not directly linked to the resort itself. The house is VERY uphill, so if you are not a fan of hiking and walking, then this place is not for you, because it will take you 10 min to the beach downhill, and 15+ min uphill. Also, the place itself, Prinos or Skaleta, is not very big, there are not a lot of things you can do, there is one beach bar and one tavern. The place is a village and you cannot expect from it to be anything wow. There is a bus station that can take you to nearby beaches and city of Rethymno which about 30 min with bus. You can also always rent a car. Other amenities in the resort, like bikes, sauna, and gym we didn't use at all, but you also have those options as well. We rented this place on Airbnb, and that maybe wasn't the best choice, because even though this place is fair for its price, Airbnb does charge you extra for their site surveillance and whatnot, so you will pay more than it might be on your budget.
