Studios Irene

One of the best travel experiences I have had visiting the Greek Island.  Irene went above and beyond.  Irene provided us with great information and recommendations. She assisted use with our transportation needs and made our experience a great experience.

Great place. Irene is a brilliant host, picked us up from the port, and took us back when we left. The room has everything you need, has a very nice garden and plenty of outside space. A just a short walk into town. If we come back to Ptmos we definitely stay here again.

Irene's place is just a short walk from Skala town yet so much calmer and more peaceful, with a lovely bay just a few minutes' walk away - a big bonus for me - and a good bakery and supermarket nearby. There's a little noise from the road that continues up the hill but it felt like living in a neighbourhood. The studio itself was spacious and comfortable with a private terrace and the kitchen was well equipped so you can at least enjoy breakfast before setting out for the day. Irene herself was friendly and helpful, and able to accommodate us at short notice. A great find.

Cozy apartment in a nice location! Irene, the host was lovely and very sweet! We came in at 2am, so she made sure all was ready for us with instructions to find the place. She even left us bread and water. She came to see us in the morning and even drove us to our first stop of the day, which was the cave. She definitely did not have to do this but we very much appreciated the kind gesture. She even reimbursed us for the taxi fare! She was kind and sweet to my kids and checked in on us again before we left regarding our experience in Patmos. Her home is beautiful, with a nice garden and ocean view on the 2nd floor. Sheets, floors, bathroom etc were clean. Decent size room for our family of 4 and very much worth for it for the price! Basic cooking seasonings, soaps and dishwashing items also provided. Traveling a lot in Europe, it’s the little things like this that you appreciate and make you feel a little bit at home. Thanks Irene! We’d love to come back and stay longer. 

We had the triple room with kitchen downstairs. Good location away from Skala, very quiet. very clean apartment, well equipped. Irene was a lovely host and we talked to her every day, thanks for the eggs. I would highly recommend these studios.

Nice and clean studios located in a quiet residential area. The host Irene is very helpful and brings fresh eggs from her chickens. You walk in about 8 minutes to Sam’s bakery for tasty coffee and breakfast. In Max 12 minutes you walk to Skala. You get really good value for money. In the morning I rolled out my yoga mat in the garden. Next time when traveling to Patmos I will stay again at Irene’s. Last but not least, Irene picked me up from ferry terminal.

We had a very nice stay at Irene studios. Irini and Ioannis are warm and friendly hosts. She kindly pick-up and drop us at the pier.
The studio is located in a quiet area of Skala. Very near to bus stop and small beach. Reasonable walking from town. The studio is super clean and perfectly equipped.
We will keep excellent memories of our stay.

Irene is so friendly and helpful. She offered to pick us up from the ferry at 0300 which really was kind. Very helpful with tips and advice.  On the way back to the ferry Irene showed us the village of Grikos which was well out of her way but so pretty she didn't want us to miss it. The studio was a good size, clean and well maintained. Sheet and laundry changed regularly. Hot water and Wi fi all of the time. It was on the edge of Skala but only 15minutes walk to the centre. A bakery and mini market is a 5 minute walk away with a bus stop only a few minutes away. More shops and a large supermarket are the other side of town. 

Not an issue for us but be aware there is a bit of an incline near the apartments coming up from the main road, which can be busy.

Nowhere in Europe, can you spend 25 Euros for such a special place in a perfect location!!???  Irene, even though you do all the work yourself to keep the Studios so perfectly clean and up-kept, you need to charge more.  I feel guilty for having paid so little, when I have paid so much more, everywhere, for much less comfort.  The furnished Kitchen was an extra bonus.  and you have very good wifi, and TV service...Don't listen to the Germans.  Charge what you need to continue to survive and provide this excellent service.  Thank you for picking me up and dropping me off at the ferry.  You are wonderful.

best place in skala, close to the harbour, to the busstation, beaches & bays.
erini is so friendly, she cares very much about her guests, you will feel like at home!
the rooms are very clean and there is a wonderful garden in front of the house.

Grossly UNDERpriced

Irene was a godsend and looked after me from start to finish of my trip picking me up from port and returning me at the end.She also showed me around the beautiful island.The apartments are very well looked after and clean and very close(5 min walk)to main town of skala with daily boat trips and close to main historic attractions such as cave of apocalypse and monastery. Irene supplied fresh fruit,eggs and water.The apartments are in lovely setting with beautiful and well maintained garden.There was wi-fi and airconditioning available all included.All in all very good value for money.
The best moment for me was sitting on a deserted beach 1 minute walk away from studios watching the sunset.I will definitely be going back for another visit!
