We lived both with a todler about 1,5 monthes in this hotel.The appartment was nice,comfortable, and we had all we need inside:mini-kitchen with kitchen utensils,always clean towels,good cleaning,and tasty breakfasts.Near hotel you have park with playground, Lidl ahd another shops.But best of all it is beautiful sea,and very friendly owner!

In Haus Olimp you feel like at home!

Haus Olymp the best!

We have reserved an apartment at Haus Olymp just for 2 nights as a transit stop during our trip. The prices here are low, so it's not surprising that it is not the best accommodation that you can get. The rooms are nor really clean, the sheets have been washed, but they are full of spots. Everything in the apartment is really old. The beds are uncomfortable.
The balcony view is to a yard used as a parking space and it's dirty.

The advantage of this place is that is not so close to the noisy town center, so you can sleep better than in other places. Paralia Katerini is extremely noisy and crowded, so finding a good place away from all that madness is important.

The receptionist was kind and polite. If you don't find him at the reception office, he should be in the bar next door, which belongs to the hotel too.

Low price, low expectations

The rooms are small, one mattress was damaged and unconfortable to sleep on, the room was not very clean. You can find better rooms and services close by. If you don't care much about the place where you will sleep, it is a good choice.

Avarage

If you come to Greece for sea, it's OK to stay here. OK to sleep over and that's it. Nothing special. Small rooms. But everything is kept clean so this is a big plus. Nice location - near the beach!!!

First of all I must say that I booked this in advance for 10 nights for 500Euros. I was asked to pay for 145 Euro deposit. When I arrived I was met in a friendly way by a person that could speak German fluently. And there anything positive ends... I was promised an air conditioned appartment, 100m from the beach, with 2 separate rooms and a kitchen. I managed to sleep less than 2 hours and me and my son (8) felt it was impossible to spend more than this only night there. The hotel is only 1 block away from the main road, and there was both traffic noise and music from the town all through 2-3am. The balcony was to a backyard covered with weed and garbage, I could see rats and there were several catfights throught the night. The air condition didn't work. The windows didn't close properly either, resulting in many moskito bites exept the noise annoyances.The curtainless shower was a basin on the floor and in took >5min before the water reached a scarcely acceptable temperature. 
The "kitchen" that didn't deserve the name consisted of 1 rusty cooking plate and 2 battered pans, and some worn out and incomplete dishes. The whole impression was shabby and in need of renovation. Also the distance from the beach was more than 400m. We left in the afternoon where the staff said it's ok for them that we leave. Later on I tried to get back my money, at least some, since we only were there for one night. The hotel refused to answer.

I only can advice everybody to stay away from this so called "Haus" Olymp!
