This so called hotel is absolutely horrible. The room was dirty, the bathroom was disgusting with broken sink and tiles,it haven't been cleaned from long time. The sheets are old and have stains. The cleaning staff was just smearing the dirt on the floor, and not every day.

Terrible stay

This "hotel"is a mess and it's not a hotel...dirt, insects, spiders, ants, broken things...this is my description...we will not visit ever this "hotel" anymore. The food is poor and the sea is very dirty...you can not swim in it.

Apart from being located almost at the beach, "Edem Holiday Club" has nothing else to offer to its guest. Very old and uncomfortable furniture (especially the beds!), dirty rooms, basically no in-room wi-fi. The so-called 'breakfast' was the worst part - served buffed-style, nothing fresh (not even fruits) and nothing warm (except some boiled eggs), just some cereal, yogurt, old bread and a few slices of poor quality cheese and ham. And that was everything every morning. I think, it could have been better not to offer breakfast at all instead of offering this. 

Even though it's full of mosquitos, there were no protection nets on the doors or the windows, so we had to sleep on closed doors which means the nights were hot as hell. If you don't want to use the air conditioning, of course. The other thing is that there were just two wall-plugs in the room occupied by the fridge and the TV.

It is not a pricey hotel but the flaws are way too much. Rather friendly stuff though.

A wonderful location for a bad hotel!

The location of the hotel is very convenient. On the one hand it is isolated from other hotels and therefore is a quiet place, on the other hand it is just about 800 meters from Olimplaki Akti and 2 500 meters from Paralia Katerini, which is good for night life seekers. Guests live in a series of villa-type accommodations with private tiny outside spots with a table and chairs.
The beach is near, just across the road, you can see it from the hotel territory, the swimming pool is nice and clean. To occupy the beach bed you have to buy a drink from the bar, but near the pool they are free.
Rooms are cleaned and towels changed every day.
Minuses: the outside teritoties are not isolated enough: you can't avoid seeing and hearing your neighbours. Once after coming back from a long drive we found our room open from both sides: the cleaner forgot to lock the doors.
ALL IN ALL the hotel is good enough for different categories of guests

Not far from Paralia Katerini

You might be not thrilling of emotion when you get next to the hotel. But after exploring the area, there will be some pros to list:
1. remote place with no neighboring hotels around, which gives you more space on the beach;
2. the beach is just on the other side of the road;
3. affordable price;
4. friendly & modest personnel;
5. bus station next to the hotel.

The hotel consists of 20 blocks of 2 houses. Each house has a kind of terrace. The garden could look much better. There is a nice pool and not many people around it. Investing more physical work, this place could be a pearl, but it's just a motel as displayed ob the billboard.

Breakfasts are limited in choice. I was surprised to have only one type of black olives, and even those not of the best quality; no cheese specialties. This is a real disappointment. Dinner is ok. 2 times per week the owner is cooking. Seems he does it with passion and spices and the dishes are simple but very tasty.

5 mins walk to the right and you get in the big mess of Olympic Beach. Restaurants, shops and hotels - everything there. Take a look at the beach. It's overcrowded. You will love the beach of Edem.

30 - 40 mins walk to the left and you reach Paralia Katerini. Buses also go there. At evening hours it's more than overcrowded - it's jammed. Hotels are close to each other, music, noise and LIDL. The last is the main attraction.

For excursions refer to Tasionas Travel with the lowest prices. You'll find Tasionas representatives in Olympic beach as well. Romanian tourists get lower prices. Went to Skiathos, Meteoras and Olymp with EUR 50.
The receptionist may organize a private car for travelling.
Take a bus (EUR 1.50 one way) to Katerini, get off at the 2nd Church you'll see (the church is magic) and move on to the shopping areas. Nothing that special. Happy that I bought mount tea. 

Won't describe the rooms, you can see them in the pics. The sea is not that bluish as shown in all adverts. Looks like Black Sea, but warmer a bit. Beware of blue jellyfish!!! During wavy periods algae are too many and create a bit of discomfort. 

The main reason tourists are coming to Pieria is the proximity to main attractions. Prices are also ok. People are nice and relaxed.

Almost forgot: On the way to Olympic Beach there will be sellers of fruits - always cheaper than 3 minutes later. For those who need fun and disco life, you'd better move to Paralia Katerini. The only 2 night clubs are located there.

Edem - an entrance to Paradise?

This is a budgetary variant, but it is may be the best choice in this area. For us it was very good.

0. Sea and beach are very close to hotel, there are not so many people there. Everything is very clean. You can go fishing in the night from the beach just near hotel (30 meters).
1. There is no loud music near it. There is no crowds of people.
2. Night life areas are 500 meters away.
3. You can buy fruits with considerable discount from farmers near hotel.
4. Supermarket is 3 km away (4 bus stops).
5. Rooms cleaning is provided every day.
6. Breakfasts were good, but very similar.

May be the best choice for budgetary holidays at Olimpiaki Akti. There are some moscitoes there.
