Villa Morpheus

Calm down, sleep, breath fresh air, swim and enjoy one of the most exotic destinations of Samos. This was the description of our 15 days staying in Villa Morpheus, being proud of meeting our host: Stelios, a human source of great positiveness that soothed our soul. We were staying in a large, clean and quiet apartment with one bedroom, one sitting room integrated with a kitchen, a bathroom, a balcony with sea view and an alley. The sea is 300m walking distance which includes 68 steps, if you do not have a car. A huge and clean sandy beach with umbrellas full of trees for those who prefer the thick shadow they provide. The town has everything you need: Supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, car rental services, gift shops, snack bars, a small health care facility, bank, atms. The car is almost a necessity. The island is huge, and there is one bus twice daily except weekends that arrives at the town 6:30 in the morning and 13:30 in the afternoon. OK, there is no bus! The taxi to the port (Karlovasi) costs 25euros (as the sign in the taxi stop informs) where renting a car costs between 30 and 40 euros per day. Samos is a great island with nice beaches, amazing forests and waterfalls! There are at least 3 museums you can visit and very interesting archaeological sites. Local people are very helpful and kind while they are very willing to guide you around. There are many villages located by the sea, as well as villages located in the mountain heights! There is no way you can get bored on this island. We had an unforgettable time. Thank you Samos, thank you Stelios!
