We decided to stay at Pandelis studios while visiting Chios this summer 2014, which is actually accessible by car only from Agios Ioannis road but just a small walk on the beach to main areas of Agia Fotia. In front of the hotel was quite and few steps away sunbeds and umbrellas music and drinks on the beach. The owner was polite and friendly, though hard to communicate in English but ok he is Greek. Room was clean and with great sea view by the balcony.

We stayed at Pantelis Apartments in the last week of July. The appartments are spacious, clean, tastefully furnished and equiped with all essential amenities including air conditioning, kitchenette and TV. The directly overlook the beach of Aghia Fotini separated from it by a private access road. Shopping is closeby, either in Aghia Fotini (5 minutes walk) or in Kallimasia uphill. The beach is a bit noisy in the early afternoon hours but otherwise very quiet during the rest of the day.
The apartments offer a unique view to the Aegean sea ant the turkish coast either from the verandas or directly from the bed! The owner, Mr. Pantelis comes by twice a day to inquire about any wishes his guests may have. Absolutely recommendable!

Nice location

Unique view, kind owner!

I booked this room, having been to Agia Fotini beach many times in the past.  This property is NOT accessible by car to Agia Fotini.  Just to make it clear.  It sits on the road to Igios Yannis beach.  That being said, its a quick stroll to Agia Fotini beach on foot.  If that was all that was wrong, then no worries.  But the owner is very abrupt and full of excuses (I can speak Greek).  The room was spartan (and not in a good way) with two small beds that were acceptable, a TV from the 90s maybe that gets about 3 channels, all in Greek.  The kitchen area is useful but definitely seen its day.  The bathroom is clean but ancient.  The shower stall did not drain well so you had to turn the water off while washing your hair so as not to get water all over.  Only small soaps are provided along with towels that they would not give you in prison they are so old and scratchy.  They advertise Wi-FI but don't believe it.  It only worked sporadically and only outside on the balcony.  Ridiculous.  The AC worked, the ceiling fan did not, the patio was nice but not private.  Then when I was leaving, the owner handed me cards and told me next time I come (which will be never) to call him directly because if you book on a site like Booking.com you get charged an extra 20 EUR per night which of course he took from me without hesitation even though I told him he is really falsely advertising his place.  Unless everything else is sold out on this beach, skip it.
