I spend 6 nights at Chios Rooms and had a really great stay. The owners were both amazing, very friendly and accommodating. Rooms and common areas were clean and comfortable. The location was great, very centrally placed with amazing view to the port. I fully enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone .

Overlooking the port, but at the quiet end away from the ferries, Chios Rooms has million-dollar views from the rooms at the front of the building. The rooms are simply furnished but stylish, with fans and high ceilings. Mine had a balcony with table and  chairs, so I could watch the Promenade and port life from up high. Guests have full use of the elegant lobby, communal kitchen, and two roof terraces, and there is free WiFi. Moreover, the owners, Don (New Zealander) and Dina (Greek), are wonderfully friendly and hospitable - Don served up coffee on my first morning, and he and Dina always took the time to give advice on restaurants, places to visit, and to discuss Greek life and politics. Saying goodbye after my two-week stay felt like leaving old friends. I will return...
For fussy travelers, it should be noted that the bathrooms, many of which are shared, are basic (but spotlessly clean), and that many of the local bars are noisy in the evenings - all part of the old-world charm and the fabulous location of Chios Rooms in my view.

Had a fantastic time here during a visit in July. The place is beautifully decorated and carries a classic charm. Nice having a kitchen with the coffee, tea and snack offerings. Don was a gracious host and let me in to stay without a reservation. He also recommended a scooter rental place that worked out fabulously for me. I would give the location and host more than 5 stars if I could. The location is on the road in the port where most of the clubs are, so just something to be aware of. Even with the noise I’d still stay here again because of proximity to everything in town, the port, the water and sunrise view. Very nice neoclassical building, with very nice view of the port and very hospitable hosts. No aircondition but we never needed it. High ceiling and in room fan are quite sufficient, even preferable. Wouldnt hesitate to suggest it to friends

We stayed there 2 nights. It was so nice, very centrally located. The beds are comfortable in blg rooms. 
Don and Dina are really wonderful hosts. We loved staying there, chatting with them, feeling like we were friends for long time. Our only difficulty was sleeping at the first night as our room was on the back side where there was some traffic early in the morning. Apart from this, we loved it.
