We knew we had struck gold when we arrived and were warmly welcomed by Maria the owner of this stunning apartment..... The apartment comprises of a kitchen/dining area...with a fridge and mini oven/cooker/grill and a table and 4 chairs...this leads onto the front balcony to catch the morning sun and watch the world go by....from the passageway there is the bathroom and bedroom which leads directly onto the rear balcony with stunning views of the sea........... Maria clearly takes pride in her apartments...it was spotless and changed the bedding and towels twice in our week long stay......... The only thing we recommend bringing is a kettle....we had to have our tea and coffee........ Nea Skioni is primarily a fishing village and the small harbour is where most of the restaurants are located......you will be spoilt for choice for eating and especially if you are a fish lover...I highly recommend the sardines!!!......all typical greek dishes are on offer.....and the food is matched by the friendliness of the waiters and restaurant owners......... Nearby to the apartment is an excellent baker and numerous small supermarkets...fish mongers....grocers etc....... We hired a car from Auto Union at Thessalonki Airport which I recommend so you can explore the peninsula and the numerous sandy beaches with the clearest water i have ever seen........ My partner and I agree this is the best holiday we have ever had and we cannot wait to meeting Maria again next year...........
