The apartment block ON THE BEACH in which this rental is located is less than a minutes walk to the beach.  That's the only good thing I can say about it.

The whole building is very tired both inside and out.  The same paint used on the exterior doors and shutters was painted on all the interior furniture which is now chipped and worn.  This old furniture has many visible 'make do' repairs painted over and just looks 'cheap'.  The kitchen facilities are so sparse there is no point in trying to make yourself anything.  There is not even a kettle. Unfortunately I experienced two of these tired rentals during my holiday. The second one being our actual booking.  The A/C in both barely made a difference to the punishing heat.  I asked  the owner to sort this but he said nothing was wrong with them.  Added to this an old TV was wall mounted directly below the A/C unit blocking its flow in our first rental in this block. In the other one there was no fitting to fix the shower head so one had to shower one handed.  Also the kitchen electrical socket for the cooking unit did not work and was hanging out of the wall. Wall mounted hair drivers in both rentals had no hoses and therefore pointless. Please see photos.

As regards the owner he had us in three different rentals in the first 6 days of our   9 night booking.   On the first night we arrived we had to stay in an extremely sub-standard semi underground hotel room because our rental was occupied. The next day we were moved to ON THE BEACH but not our actual booking.  After four days he then moved us again to what we didn't know until we actually arrived was our original booking.  After this third move in 6 days.  I complained by email to him asking for compensation for the fact it took 6 days of a l9 day booking to get into the rental we actually booked.  I had paid 956 euros (106 per day) and spent the majority watching somebody else come in and out of the rental I paid for.  He replied offering compensation of 50 euros for the first night only but nothing for the next four nights.  I replied declining his offer requesting 100 euros (A very reasonable amount all things considered) to settle the matter but I never heard from him again. 
I am sorry to say the building, its facilitates and the owners attitude to his clients are from a bygone era in Greece.  If you want to holiday in a modern, attractive, comfortable rental with an owner who cares about the experience he is providing for his clients then ON THE BEACH is not for you.
