Wonderful accommodations.  The owners Kika and Pol are very friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was lovely. It had a spacious balcony.  Great way to start our day, drinking our coffee watching the local farmers picking their crops for the day. And a glass of wine in the evening. Looking at the stars in the clear open sky.
The cleaning lady came at a great time usually as we were leaving to the beach or a sailing trip through Milos Adventures.
The property is a short walk to the main port where there is a wide variety  of great restaurants and shops. 
There is a family friendly beach just at the end of the path. Close to the room. It is best to rent a car on this island it has many amazing beaches and villages.
Can't wait to get back again next year.


Amazing experience. 

We (and many other travelers) were stranded in Athens by high winds (no flights, no ferries) for several days. We spent hours at the airport, frantically trying to get to the island, and kept the property informed throughout. They always responded and acted like they would work with us to accommodate the delay. But in the end, they charged us as a "no show" for the full amount of the reservation and were completely unresponsive to our appeals for fair treatment (we were willing to pay the cancellation fee, about half the full amount). It was galling to have them act this way; they (along with the other properties on the island) were fully aware of this very unusual wind system (45 mph winds) and the havoc it was wreaking on people's travel plans; instead of working us, they exploited the situation to make money.

Buy trip insurance!  Property is completely unprofessional, they will screw you, given the chance

This is my first hotel review because I feel other travellers need to be warned as a public service announcement. We paid a lot of money for a place that has a tiny bathroom and toilet that smell worse than some public toilets I’ve been to (please see photos attached). It was one of those showers that made you feel more dirty than clean when you were done. It also had a flimsy and brown-stained curtain which could not stop all the water spilling on the floor, so we had to squeeze the shower mat out after every use. As a bonus, the toilet brush hadn’t been changed in a while - disgusting.  

The view is nice when you walk outside the room but inside we had a tiny window that didn’t look out on anything. By the way, you can just walk 5 mins up the hill from Plaka at sunset to get the same views for free.

The hotel is up a steep hill, and no one is there to help you with your luggage, which is fine if you are relatively fit as we were, but I shuder to think how anyone else with an injury or not used to hill climbing would cope. 

Don’t do what we did and leave your Milos accommodation to the last minute!

Worst bathroom. Tiny and Smelly -Shame on them

We’ve just left kastro milos today and it has been quite an experience staying there! The walk up is not for the faint hearted, we’re reasonably fit and were still left out of breath. The room itself was tiny with the bed on a mezzanine level which we didn’t mind. The view from the balcony was the best on the island and it is a truly beautiful spot to watch the sunset from. The room is very well equipped, however it is so small I’m not sure where you would use all of the equipment provided! The best part of staying here for us was the guys running it, they helped us organise a scooter within half an hour of arriving and highlighted all the things we should do whilst we stayed with them, everything they suggested was great. Thank you for having us!

Tiny room, great view, really helpful owners

Far away from the center of Plaka, a climb up a hill in a typical Cycladic village. Very small room, no kitchen, they don’t clean it everyday. Imagine we had the same towels for four days! Pictures on site are not representative, probably are taken elsewhere. We tried to reach the owner ( via a man introduced ordinator) but he never answered . There is only a good thing and that’s the view.

Just a nice view but costs more than deserved

We didn't hear anything about the castle in Plaka but stumbled upon it while we were waiting to go for dinner. The view is stunning at the top and a must do in Milos to see a 360 view of the island. The stairs are pretty steep but worth the view at the top. It would be awesome to see the sunset from there

Stunning view 

I chose Kastro studios for the view which was breathtaking. We stayed in apartment D (Dionysodoros) which was not a great choice. The apartment has high bed with extremely steep wooden stairs. The studio itself is tiny with a big step in the middle of the room and no sofa so you cannot really spend time in the room other than on the balcony. The floor surface is the raw original stone so no pleasant to walk on. You need to cross the balcony to reach the bathroom. There is no shower curtain so effectively you flood the room every time you shower.

Probably the other rooms are a lot nicer but D is too expensive for what it is.
