This is an amazing location on the tranquil Bonatsa beach. The rooms are lovely & renovated and you have the beach bar a few steps from the room. Great and kind staff, clean rooms and yummy food! Will come back next year!

Great beachfront location!

The location of the beach houses is fantastic thanks to its proximity to Bonatsa Beach (long sandy beach). It is like having your own beach house for a few days. The view is great from the windows and the terrace. The room is spacious enough, with a comfortable Cocomat bed, fully refurbished, spacious bathroom. 
The cleaning service is good too, the cleaning lady is very discreet and attentive, however we stayed for a 7 nights and they only changed linen once! 
The big drawback is the common terrace, as there is neither privacy nor enough room for every beach house.
Breakfast is included in the price. However, it was always served late. They told us breakfast is from 8.30 until 11.30 but the person responsible always arrived at 9 so we had to wait for him to get ready and start breakfast at about 9.15. The quality was good but it was EXACTLY the same breakfast every day with no variety at all. Some slices of white bread with jam/honey/butter, one croissant for every guest, some fruits (the same every day) and a big bowl of yogurt and coffee. We asked for eggs but they said it was not available. Nothing salty was included. As the breakfast was intended to be "a la carte", we expected a very good rich breakfast, but it turned out to be very poor and boring and it did not correspond to the very high price of the room. Also, a hug problem was the flies every morning in the breakfast table. The people responsible should have taken some measures (use a fly trap for example) because it was so difficult to eat in the morning with so many flies on the fruits and yogurt! Moreover, on the top terrace there were only two tables in the shade so there was not enough room for all guests to sit and in the sitting area near the beach there was always a strong air current that made eating breakfast so unpleasant.
To sum up, the pros are the location and the refurbished rooms and the cons are the lack of privacy, the common balcony and the whole breakfast experience!

Fantastic location by the sea

Got a slight electric shock from the shower in our room Petalina. I believe this has been reported for several years by other travellers.Breakfast boring and quality inconsistent, bread sometimes stale, not enough butter or honey provided. Coffee, unless espresso, very variable. Food covers would be ideal but not used so bread and croissants had to be carefully watched as there are a lot of flies and I mean a lot..probably due to excellent location. Lots of ants too so be extra careful not to drop anything and wash your feet before entering room. Fridge was only stocked with 2 small bottles of water on our late arrival and then you have to buy your water every day. Pod coffee machine in room with the silliest thermal cups -(very difficult to hold when containing hot liquid) 2 pods allocated daily but no sugar milk or teaspoon provided but there was a bottle opener.  Really aggravating in such a peaceful location was the unexplained noisy water system, it would refill very noisy at random times through the day and night,even when our neighbours and ourselves weren’t using the water. No privacy only one terrace for each room so everyone walks past Petalina to get to their room. The final Step down to the road/beach has a fall in excess of twelve inches and is uneven and unfinished, let’s hope no one falls. We were invited to a moon party at the Aria windmill but as the location was 5 km away, didn’t commence till 7 and the last bus into town was at 16:40 and no return till the next morning I don’t know how they expected us to attend, to make the effort to host a party I would have provided transport for all my guests at my cost. Cigarette butt free beach advertised but they are still freely handing out plastic straws encased in a plastic wrapper. They are building a new terrace it was a shame this wasn’t done before the June holiday makers arrived. The beach houses are quite a way from town and no one checked everything was okay once during our weeks stay.
They no longer offer a car hire service and we had to find out the taxi number for ourselves. We also made our own way back to the port when we left, I informed the management and they didn’t offer a shuttle service.
The cleaning lady is the most thorough and delightful person and pleasant member of the staff.

Location location location 

We visited Bonatsa Beach House for a few days this August. It's basically a beach house that has been carved into 3 rooms to let. It belongs to Aria Hotels, a large organization that owns numerous hotels in Greece.

THE GOOD: the rooms are an arm's length from Bonatsa beach, which is probably the 2nd best in Kimolos. There is a small beach bar that also belongs to Aria Hotels, where the front row of sunbeds is reserved for Bonatsa Beach House guests. The hotel staff were pleasant. The view from the hotel is great.

THE BAD: the shower and sink tap would *electrocute* us when using them. This is certainly a health risk, especially for kids, older people, or people with heart problems. Our hands would feel a little numb for a few minutes by the time we finished showering or washing our hands.

We checked in late at night, and noticed this soon after. We immediately told the hotel staff the next morning. They told us that it's no big deal and that the whole island had the same problem. However, we asked other locals and found out this was a lie. The bathroom plumbing has serious electrical installation problems, resulting in electrical current passing through. Other guests had the same problem too. 

We repeatedly expressed our disappointment about this matter to the staff and management but nothing was ever done. For €150 a night, we certainly expect a lot better than complaints being ignored and lies. 

Health risk in bathroom, complaints ignored

Skip the busy Prasa and go to Bonatsa, with crystal clear waters and comfy lounge chairs. Beach service from friemdly staff and an amazing time! Friendly prices and not as expensive as the small canteen in Prasa!

The best beach in Kimolos!

Bonatsa beach house is located bonatsa beach of Kimolos. The 3 rooms are spacious enough, with a nice view, a simple bathroom. Breakfast is average. Price is a little bit high for that kind of rooms. Beach is in front of the hotel. Our check in was unacceptable as we were waiting the staff to home from the port which is a few meters from the reception.

Rooms to let with view

This place is paradise if you want a few days away from it all. There are only three bedrooms that share a balcony that over looks the blue ocean. The beach and the hotel loungers are a stones throw away from your front door. The beach has a small tavern attached to it. There is another small beach just around the head land to the right that has a slightly larger tavern come restaurant. The sea waters are very shallow so very safe to swim in.

Our room was large, clean and offered a very comfortable bed,safe, fridge and free wifi that did not appear to work during our visit. I found this a blessing in disguise as the fact that you were in effect cut off from the outside world made the visit even more special. Breakfast was served up on the sun lounge each morning with a selection of cereals, yoghurt, fruit, bread and pastries on offer. There was no rush and the staff were friendly and helpful. 

If this place is so good then why no 5 star rating. Well the bathroom appeared to be put together as an afterthought. For some reason it just did not go with the rest of the room. It was large, clean but the shower had a clinging shower curtain and the shower head did not stay in the holder. This meant that you had to use it as a hand held shower whilst fighting the curtain. More shelving space would have been beneficial as there was plenty of room for it to be added.

Apart from that this place is fabulous and well worth a visit

Kimolos is small island with the main town, Chorio, about 3 km. away. There is a local bus service that passes the hotel that can take you there, or you can hire a car for around €45 per day. If you just want to stay local then there two taverns about 5 to 10 minutes walk away.
