good location close to the beach, stores and local promenade (few minutes walking distance)

Hosted by a friendly and nice couple. A warning: they speak German. Clean and spacious room, friendly staff, no sea view but very close to the beach(3 min. walk only). We will prefer the same hotel for the next visit. A humble facility with reasonable price.

A good 2* hotel

I will not present an opinion about the overall look of the hotel because I knew from the begging (price) that I should not expect something  special.
Well, the rooms were pretty clean and the stuff was willing to help with everything we needed. Nevertheless there was an unpleasant smell coming from the toilet (maybe some kind of ventilation thing). Lastly, the breakfast options were considerably less than we expected. 

It's ok for a budget hotel

The hotel is located on the main road and close to the beach road (5 minutes walking). The bed base is old, but it's kept clear. Rooms are small, but air conditioned. 
There was an issue with the water, but as far as we understood it was for the whole town. The receptionist (who was the owner of the place) speaks only Greek and a little German - no way to use English.

Nice hotel / fare price/ Not 3 stars

The hotel has amazing pictures on booking engines but once you get there is not that awesome looking anymore. I guess, you get what you pay for because it is not that expensive to book a room at Triada. Rooms are very small, kinda hospital looking but they do provide a fridge, AC and a balcony with each one you book. Breakfast is not a buffet but served at the table.
The owners are really really nice and welcoming, the only drawback is that they only talk german and greek.

Could improve

I came on the island a few days ago for a friend's wedding and knew in advance that i was going to pay good money in the heart of the high season in Greece. I made my booking via booking.com and if i remember well Triada come up as the cheapest. Up to that point everthing was fine as i knew that i have booked a cheap two star hotel. I am not going to comment on the overall "looks" and size of the room because that i expected under the cheap banner. This is a basic hotel after all yet still fails to deliver on the basics. I stayed for 4 nights and the bed sheets were not changed even once!!!! There were two sets of towels in the bathroom and again not only the towels were not changed but also the dirty 1st set was not collected after a couple of days. There were 2 mini shower gel bottles that i have used by the 2nd day and these not only were not replenished but also the empty bottles were not collected!!!! By booking was excluded of breakfast and god i was so thankfull about it. On the booking.com app on my android i noticed 7.50 EUR for breakfast per day and really scratched my head how is this amount is calculated!!! The local bakery is no more that 3min on foot and i was getting a small chocollate milk plus two pieces of bakery for no more than 3.50 EUR. What really topped it all was that they don't accept bank cards at check out thus forcing the customer to go to an ATM so to withdraw money. That is unacceptable to me in the year 2015. I have travelled to Laos in SE Asia recently and my debit card was accepted everywere. Laos as a coutry is decades behind the western world so this hotel really needs to get their act together and fix everything going wrong and espacailly get online with debit/credit card payments.
