Miranda Hotel

Lovely stay at Hotel Miranda in Hydra. The host was very welcoming and the breakfast was delicious, highlight was the homemade marmalade from the orange trees in the courtyard. The property is a beautiful historic building. It is well located, an easy walk to the port and restaurants.

Warm reception- very genuine staff making us feel welcome. Lovely breakfast in the garden. Amazing location. Spent a night in Hydra and this hotel was perfect for our stay!

Great small boutique hotel with a wonderful view from our terrace.  Very helpful staff and great breakfast.  The walls were a bit thin so we could sometimes hear other guests.

We had a great stay at Miranda. Great location with easy access to restaurants and beaches. Very friendly staff that paid attention to details and customer wellbeing. Can highly recommend if you are looking for a comfortable and easy stay on Hydra.

This is an old and elegant mansion on Hydra Island, the rooms have high ceilings with antique patterns printed on them. Their furniture is also very aged and exquisite. The hotel is surrounded by solid stone houses, a beautiful and elegant setting. The garden has orange and lemon trees, and the fragrance from the trees fills the garden. The hotel staff are very attentive to our needs, also pointing us to two wonderful seafood restaurants we would have missed. George served us great breakfast in the beautiful garden. We really enjoy the stay at this property.

Excellent hotel. Staff wonderful and lots of personal service. Had twin room sea view which has balcony which was great. Be prepared room is big, barhroom tiny. Understand the choice of furniture by owners but I personally would have preferred a more modern approach. However it did not alter my total appreciation of my stay and yes I would recommend this hotel for the quiet and lovely courtyard.

Lovely hotel

Very nice and cozy hotel. Really quiet and nice rooms in the old mandion. The view from the balvony was spectacular. 
Reception staff very friendly and accommodating.
The hotel is located ideally in the city 3 mins from the harbour but yet away from the noise from the restaurants there. 
We will definately come back.

Great getway hotel

Charming hotel. Lovely large room and comfortable bed. Balcony was perfect with a view to the sea, over the rooftops of beautiful Hydra.  Sit on it to hear bird song and donkeys braying. Great breakfast in the  gorgeous courtyard full of flowers. We loved our stay and Maria was a great host.Hydra is amazing!

Lovely hotel.  Full of character!

We stayed in the Miranda Hotel at the beginning of August. On the way we read some very off-putting reviews and were a bit concerned what we would find. It couldn't have been more different from those(out of date) reviews. Aldo greeted us on arrival and was charming and helpful throughout. We had booked a room with a balcony and were delighted by a large bedroom with a beautiful painted ceiling and a deep balcony looking out over the town and the harbour. The breakfast in the courtyard was plentiful, fresh and delicious (and included in the price). It is a very central little gem of a place and we will be back.

Charming, welcoming and pretty.

we stayed for three nights at hotel Miranda and absolutely loved our stay. Aldo the hotel manager was fantastic and went above and beyond to help accommodate our stay. Breakfast in the courtyard was a perfect way to start the day and loved that everything was cooked fresh. Location is perfect, rooms have an antique but charming feel to them. We’ll be back ! 


Lovely! 

Ok, I travel the world and have reasonable expectations. But this place was great. I read some horrible reviews and a bit shocked. First this is an island in Greece in a little low key hotel. Not the Ritz. But the service we got was great. From the greeting to the moment we left and one of you group left their wallet. Donaldo Skenderaj was amazing. He found the wallet and had it on the next ferry for us. Not only that he apologized he took a euro out of it because the boat charged 5 euros to ship and he only had 4 on him. He should have taken 20!!! 

The rooms were small but this a historic hotel so we have realistic expectations!

All I can say is we can’t wait to go back!

An amazing place!! 

We were offered breakfast just as we arrived. It was delicious and plentiful. The room looked great with white brick walls, painted ceiling and antique furniture. The bathroom was quite simple and small but it did the job. Breakfast in the garden was super nice. We had eggs, delicious bread, heavenly homemade orange marmalade , Greek yogurt, warm orange cake to die for. Oh and fresh fruit, orange juice as well as butter and jam. It felt like we were the only ones staying in the place. In the morning we got woken up by the church bells. You just have to accept that this is how life works in hydra. It’s get so hot anyway that you’re better off starting your day early ! 
Lovely staff and good value for money. This is a very special place. I’d definitely go back again. 

A special place

Great atmosphere, as this used to be a sea captain's house.  Breakfast was good and plentiful.  Staff were pleasant.  Our particular "family room" had a rooftop terrace with an incredible view of the harbor. This would only be accessible to folks willing to climb a spiral stairway and crawl out of a tiny doorway to get there, but the view is totally worth it.

"Nice breakfast"

Even if most accommodations in hydra dont offer breakfast, this one does, and it was savory. It included fresh fruits, bread, butter, marmalade honey and coffee. The place where we had breakfast was  a very beautiful patio with lounge music. 

As for the room, it was big with overview of the island because We stayed at the suite. 
Bathroom had all we needed and was very clean as was the whole room. 

Popi, the manager, was very kind and helpful and always with a smile.
