Semeli Hotel

Our room is quite large with small kitchennete, kettle, kitchen utensils, table, safe, TV with mostly Greek channels and great comfy bed. The bathroom is rather large with a shower. The only downside is absense of elevator, so one has to walk upstairs and there is locked outside door, so if you are a couple, you will unable to share the key. It's better to ask for a second key to solve the latter problem. The host is very helpful and nice. We were presented with a small welcome gift. The room was tidy and cleaned every day. Our room bancony gives a great outlook towads Neo Chora beach. The street is not especially calm as it average busy and has lots of people walking on promenade, but it's not too noisy. The locations is great, just 900 meters and you are on the main street of the old city Chalidon. The hotel location on the promenade with Neo Chora beach starting just in 100 meters. Futher west you can find more cove beaches and the Sunset Beach in Agia Apostoli in 5km. Eastern part of Chania has only small beach Koum Kapi, which is a very narrow strip of sand next to a concrete promenade. Good swimmers can swim within old city next to Sabbionara Rampart, but that's just tiny strip of sand next to a city wall and during fresh wind the place features large waves. The bus station is located in 850 meters. The shopping in Chania center provides surpisingly few options: Sklaventis in 700m in front of city walls. Synka in 750m in from of the bus station. And there is a great small supermarket Kaveos in 650m, if you will walk west towards Agia Apostoli, where you can find large Synka, Lidl (3.6 km) and AB (2.5 km).
