I can't really add much to all of the positive comments that have previously been made about this hotel. It can be summed up in just one word, superb. The building itself, the location, the owners and staff, the food...everything is just superb.

This was our first visit but we were greeted like long lost cousins. When we arrived, the owners, Nico and Maria, were waiting for us and greeted us with hugs and kisses. That pretty much set the tone for the week, you are made to feel so welcome. Every single member of staff is just lovely, I really wouldn't want to single anybody out for praise because they were all wonderful.
Whilst we were bed and breakfast, we had several evening meals at the hotel. The menu is very varied and the food is both excellent and reasonably priced.

The Trapezaki is quite isolated so you will need a car to get around. This can be arranged by the lovely Maria on reception. Renting a car is quite cheap, we paid 35 euros per day although I understand that it may be going up in 2023.

If you are looking for a busy resort setting, the TBH is not for you. If you want somewhere where you can just relax and be treated like a member of the family, I recommend it.

Niko, Sofia and all the team. What was I thinking when I left it so long to return. Oh my goodness. Your hotel is my idea of heaven. The view from room 110 was outstanding. Sitting on the balcony in the early morning with my cup of tea, watching the ferry from Zante, was delightful. The room was lovely, clean and now with tea making kettle. Great idea.   Lovely en-suite shower room as well. Angela, thank you for the lovely breakfasts and for my special hot milk for my coffee. Maria, thank you for all your help particularly on behalf of the baby tortoises! Effie senior and Effie junior, thank you for everything and Nic, thank goodness I taught you to make Kia Royal! See you all next year.

We loved our holiday at Trapezaki Bay Hotel so much 3 years ago this year, we invited friends to join us and they loved it just as much as we do.  

Niko and Sophia, the owners, become your friends and share their beautiful hotel  with you and each time you enter the hotel from a night out or after 3 years, it's like going home. 

A taxi is arranged to pick you up from the Airport and Soula greets you taking away all the hassle of getting on a coach or driving after a flight. Soula gives you a potted history of the island and points out places of interest on the way.   Niko and Sophia have thought of everything to make your holiday relaxing.  

Maria checks you in on arrival,  to describe her as the Receptionist is doing her a disservice as she is fiercely efficient, knowledgeable, friendly, funny and always helpful booking tables at restaurants or even  organising an appointment to have your nails done.  She is a treasure with lots of hints and tips to ensure you make the most of your holiday in Kefalonia and she'll organise a car for you to hire then she'll mark up your map with directions and recommendations of restaurants etc.

The hotel is spotlessly clean, the rooms comfortable with tea making facilities and a welcoming bottle of wine on the side.  Rooms either have a outlook over the beautiful blue sea to  Zakynthos or mountain views to the rear.  No TVs in the rooms but who needs TV when you have wonderful views and a balcony to sit on.

Breakfast is a friendly affair helping yourself to the freshly made coffee or tea, Greek yoghurt, honey, nuts and fresh fruit, pastries, not forgetting bacon, eggs to order (Angela seems to manage this along with topping up the array of items set out.)  You can eat your breakfast inside, at a table overlooking the gardens, in the garden or a secluded spot for two somewhere in the grounds.  The gardener, young Niko, is always evident, trimming tidying the beautiful gardens surrounding the Hotel.  Like all the staff at the Hotel, he is friendly, all this goes a long way to making your holiday relaxing.

The pool and pool bar are spotlessly clean with comfortable sun beds and shades, never crowded with beds reserved, the clients here respect the ethos of the Hotel.  There is a shower and changing room all to the same standard.  We enjoyed many an after dinner drink at the pool  bar served by Nick, an Expresso Martini for me!

An evening meal at the Hotel is an idyllic setting outside on the terrace.  Local Greek food is on the menu and, like everything else at the hotel, a relaxed affair and accommodating if you wish to go off menu slightly.  Again it is a family affair with mum and daughter taking your menu requests, answering any questions about the Greek food, how it is cooked and how you can replicate it when you get home.  

Saying goodbye at the end of an idyllic two weeks is a sad affair as you are saying goodbye to your friends and family at the hotel and Niko and Sophia are always there to say farewell.  What more can I say about this vacationers paradise.  

Lovely Hotel the good things the view pick up and return to airport all in the price the pool and lots of lovely sunbeds.you need car to make the most of the area also try new restaurants in the evenings we eat at Hotel 3 times food ok but a long wait we'll over a hour not good .also if you like your  beer stick to bottle beer the draftbeer at Hotel is very poor quality. Rooms nice with a lovely view maybe bath rooms need a refub lovely hotel with great staff and owners. 

My husband and I stayed at the Trapezaki Bay hotel and all I can say is WOW! The grounds and amenities far exceeded our expectations and the photos on Tripadvisor don’t do it justice. We were in awe of the immaculately kept grounds, sparkling clean rooms, amazing staff, unbelievable view and so much more. We enjoyed lounging at the pool and enjoying the amazing scenery and food. The grounds and gardens are so beautiful and well kept.  We were treated like family and will definitely be back. You will not regret deciding to stay at this beautiful hotel.

I visited the hotel in August and after 5 days i thought i was at my home. The staff is very kind and i knew them with their first names. 
The place was very quiet and peaceful. I asked other residents at breakfast (by the way it had lots of goods) and they told me that they visit this place for many years because they feel like home.
The rooms were very clean and the mattresses very soft. I didn't want to wake up.
Food is excellent even if you want to stay all day at the hotel.
The view is wonderful. From the front side you see Zakinthos. I ate my dinner at the balcony of the restaurant with the view of the pool and the bay. Don't forget to taste the excellent orange pie with a scoop of ice cream. It is Sofias recipe. You can also have a drink at the bar or eat there.
Trapezaki Bay Hotel is 20 minutes far from Argostoli and very close to the airport. 
In August you will find room easily than July or September. You have to rent a car if you want to visit other places. Niko will help you with that.

Another fantastic holiday at this hotel. Nikos,  Sophia and team continue to be excellent hosts. Everyone made to feel welcome, at home and that nothing is too much trouble. The location and facilities are stunning too. We’ll be back next year

It is difficult to know where to start here: from the greeting at the airport to the final drop off, this was a wonderful place to stay. The whole team are just so helpful, Nico is such a character, he greets the guests when they arrive and is always there throughout the day, happily talking to guests and being very entertaining.
The breakfast is a great start to the day, you feel so chilled that it is an effort to go and see the outside world, and I am normally out there exploring first thing.
We realised during our stay why there are so many serial returners and we will be going back. 
It is a good base to explore the rest of this beautiful island. Maria in reception was exceptional at providing extra tips of where to go.

Just returned from our 6th/7th return visit to Trapezaki Bay Hotel. The established staff team, Niko, Sophia, Maria, Effi and Angela really make you feel at home straight away; the service at this hotel is caring, attentive and second to none. It is no accident that you will bump into previous visitors of the hotel who are drawn to visit this very special hotel again and again. When you arrive at the hotel for the first time, you are struck by how relaxing it is and how hard the staff work to make your stay an enjoyable experience. The recent additions to the team of Jenny to the evening catering, and Nick and Effi at the pool bar have enhanced the whole Trapezaki Bay Hotel experience. The evening meals at the Hotel are delicious; Effi and Jenny’s food recommendations are spot on and the beautiful views across the bay to Zakynthos and sunsets from the dining terrace are not to be missed. Maria at reception has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the island and can recommend places to visit, lovely beaches and organises car hire at very reasonable prices. Niko and Sophia are lovely hosts and we will be booking our next visit very soon.

We have just returned from a week's stay at TBH and what a fantastic stay we had. The whole experience - from being met at the airport on arrival to bring dropped off for departure and everything in-between was just first class. The whole of the team were so warm, friendly and professional. The room, with a balcony facing the beautiful sea and Zakynthos, was very comfortable with many added extras from Niko and Sophia, the owners. We dined here most nights and the food was exceptional. We cannot fault the place and are already looking forward to our three-week visit next year which we booked before leaving.

A Wonderful Experience 

We had yet again another fabulous 7 nights at Trapezaki Bay Hotel, such a stunning setting, high up on the hillside over looking the crystal clear waters of the Ionian Sea, with Zakinthos in the background. The staff are amazing, and it feels like a home from home. Can’t recommend highly enough. 10/10
