We were in Kefalonia for the first time and chose Thekla studios in Lassi. We have never had better, cleaner and tidier accommodation. Indeed, all praise for the owners of the accommodation who were available to us whenever needed. Clean and completely disinfect the accommodation after 4 days of stay. They are in a great position, 7 km from the airport, 3 km from Argostoli, Lidl is 7 km away. Beaches Makris Gialos, Platis Gialos at 800 m., Gradakia and Paleostafida also nearby. If we go again, we will definitely choose Thekla studios.

Apartment spotless & clean . Came with Olympic holidays  Ben fantastic rep very helpful & friendly . If I have to find one.fault the room needed a toaster or microwave but some great restaurants close by &’plenty of ships in walking distance . Cleaner made beds & changed sheets & towels every other day . Owner was a lovely friendly lady . Don’t want to leave on Friday love it here . ❤️

We stayed for a week at Thekla Studios , we stayed in apartment No 3, on the top floor, the view was stunning over looking the sea, the apartment is very clean and quite. It’s located in a good spot even though it’s a little bit steep to the main road. There are restaurants and bars all along the main road. We would definitely recommend this accommodation, we hope to go again.

The airport transfer quickly delivers you to the car park of the Mediterranean hotel, which has a small incline off to the right, which leads up to various accommodations, including Thekla. The road continues and comes back out onto the main road, and I recommend that for anyone who dislikes hills. It is slightly longer but is less hilly, although Kefalonia is a mountainous island and hills should be expected. 

We had been met at the airport by our wonderful rep, Ben, who is the perfect mix of friendly and helpful and seems to possess a sense as to how to interact with different people. He had provided us with information including our room number, so we knew to head to apartment 3 on arrival. The key was in the door. 

This is the nicest studio we've stayed in, and we couldn't believe it's only 2 star. The kitchenette is small but functional, with a 2 hob burner, a kettle and a fridge with an ice box compartment, sink, basic utensils and plenty of cupboard space. There is a breakfast table and chairs, a large wardrobe with drawers underneath, a dressing table with a good size mirror and hairdryer, 2 bedside tables, both with 3 drawers, and 2 beds pushed together. This is ideal in the hot summer temperatures to avoid disturbing your partner! Outside there was a  balcony, a table and chairs, and a large drying rack with pegs. The bathroom had a shower unit, plus enough shelf space for all of our toiletries. It's the little things! On the point of little things, we loved that the lampshades were all glass. The studio was tastefully decorated throughout and everything was spotlessly clean. The sheets and fluffy towels were changed regularly, and we'd have been happy to stay there longer than our week. 

Kefalonia is a beautiful island and the views from our balcony did not disappoint. We stayed in far more than we usually do, and made a point of being up far earlier than usual, just to watch the sunrise. The sunsets in particular are amazing from here. 

The downside to stunning sunsets is that it gets so warm! When it reached 36 degrees outside, we decided we needed the air con on. This is charged at £5 a day. We messaged Ben, he responded ten minutes later to say the owner would be there soon, and 20 minutes later the owner was there, with the air con unit controller. 

There is a safe, but we didn't use it. 

The cleaners come round every other day. These are some of the best cleaners! They don't rush in and out, but spend time making sure everything is as clean as it was when you arrived. Again, it's the little things that make a big difference. 

We are already talking about a return trip to Kefalonia, and we will stay at Thekla again. 



Having visited Lassi many times and disappointed not to be able to book my usual accommodation, my friends and I opted to stay at the Thelka as we knew where it was situated and it to be in an excellent location, unless you have severe mobilty problems, we managed the slight walk up to the main road where you will find many lovely restaurants, and only a short walk to the beautiful beach and use of a lovely pool close by.
We were in apartment 4 and it was lovely, plenty of room, cleaned every other day and what a lovely surprise to be able  to see the sea and beach from the lovely balcony - just perfect.   I work in travel and I would definitely reccommend the Thekla Studios to everyone.  

We had studio number 4 lovely and clean ,very nice place .cleaner came in every other day ,clean towels bedding ,safe cost us 10 Euro for the week .and 3.50 for room tax ,Lassi is beautiful place  ,our first time and we will redo be going back ,lots of bars restaurants,supermarket ,beaches are lovely,would recommend Lassi 

I chose Thekla on recommendaction, and pictures on website, and was not disappointed at all. I have peace and quiet with superb views, you need to be fit to tackle the hills, but this applies everywhere here. My apartment was better than expected, and better than its 2 star ratinget,  it's clean and comfortable, with everything, almost in perfect condition. I can't believe how good the cleaners are, they come every other day apart from weekends, so three times a week, beds and towels are changed, dusting and floors, bins emptied. I've a really good fridge, only two rings,  but who wants to cook on holiday, plenty of hot water, and a shower cubicle, so no wet floor. You can actually hear the water on the rocks below, in one word, idilic!

My wife and I stayed in Thekla Studios for the first time this summer. We stayed in apartment number 1, for 2 weeks, from 19th August to 2nd September. 
Thekla Studios are ideally located just 5-8 minutes’ walk from the main street in Lassi and 5 minutes from Paliostafida Beach.
The studios themselves are made up of 7 apartments and are located part way up a hill overlooking the beautiful bay towards Lixouri, to the rear of the accommodation.

The quality of your experience staying at the Thekla will influenced a lot by which apartment you stay in.
Apartments 1, 2 and 3 are upstairs and all have nice private balconies overlooking the bay. Apartments 4 and 5 are on the ground floor underneath apartments 1,2 & 3, and have quite poor terrace areas rather than a balcony - best avoided in my opinion.
Apartments 6 and 7 are also on ground level, adjoining the rear of the main block. Apartment 7 is directly on the side of the main block and 6 is at the end overlooking the bay. The terrace area for apartment 7 is to the side of the building and is overlooked both to the rear and above. Apartment 6 is the pick of the bunch on the ground floor.
So, in summary, go for either apartment 1 or 3 first, then 2, followed by 6. 

Apartments 4, 5 and 7 look pretty poor by comparison in terms of outlook and somewhere to sit and relax privately.

Our apartment was clean, modern and well maintained. The kitchenette was basic, but adequate, with a fridge-freezer, sink, drainer / 2 x hotplate combo, basic utensils, pots and pans, plates, bowls and cutlery. 
The bathroom had a sink, toilet and proper shower cubicle (as opposed to a wet room), which was most welcome.
There were 2 single beds pushed together with separate bed sheets, so it keeps couples sleeping apart.....whether or not that is a good thing depends on the couples! :-)
The ceiling fan above the beds provided a barely noticeable breeze - but better than nothing.
A couple of minor annoyances were: 
1) They were charging €5 per day for air conditioning, which I thought was a bit naughty, so we went without, on principle. We slept with the shutter doors open instead, which was just about bearable.
2) Similarly, there was a daily charge for the safe, which again seemed to be talking liberties considering we got both the A/C and safe for 'free' in a lesser quality apartment Skiathois last year.

The highlight for us was definitely the view from the balcony. It was amazing to wake up and look out across the bay every morning and likewise, to see the sun set whilst getting ready to go out in the evenings. There is a frosted glass partition between balconies, so there is no awkward sitting out next to your neighbors.
Apartment 1 is the only apartment has a set of tiled stairs from the balcony to the ground floor for some reason....seems a bit pointless. For some reason, the top step is twice as high as all the others! It caught me out nearly every time I went bounding up there - I tripped up over it the first time.

In terms of the location, the main street of Lassi (there is only one!) where all of the tavernas and bars are just a 5 - 8 minute (up-hill) walk away (depending how long your legs are). There is a bar / restaurant called Aqua Marina just half way up the hill to the main street - its well worth making this a regular pit stop. Nikos and his staff are very friendly and the food and cocktails are very good, and reasonably priced too.

The nearest beach is 'Paliostafida', which is a 5 minute walk (just downhill) from the Studios. The beach is located just behind the nearby 'Mediterranee Hotel'.

Paliostafida beach can be generally broken up into 4 sections: 
1) Behind the hotel: very busy / touristy - rows of sunbeds and families (mainly hotel residents), but everyone can use the WC and showers.
2) A small pebbly stretch, which is quiet, but very narrow - no sunbeds (not bare foot friendly).
3) A smaller touristy stretch with a beach bar and sunbeds - again, gets busy.

4) Our favourite - a quiet sandy stretch without sunbeds or facilities located at the end of the bay. Getting there requires either walking over a tricky rocky outcrop, or walking around the outcrop, in knee / thigh-deep water (again depending on how long your legs are!). There is a cliff at this end of the shallow bay, with lots of rocky outcrops, which provide perfect snorkelling adventures. This is the place to go if you want relative peace & quiet. This spot was more popular with Greeks, but we were only ever joined by 4 other couples, with towels and umbrellas, at the most, here.

I would definitely recommend staying at the Thekla Studios. Just make sure you request one of the 'good' apartments, if at all possible!

We were in Kefalonia for 10 days and it is a great place to stay in Lassi. Our apartment had a balcony overlooking the sea which was lovely. The supermarket was a 5 min stroll away and all of the restaurants/beaches are within walking distance. You can get to Argostoli in 30 mins and is a very straight root. We cycled there as well along the longer sea view route which is highly recommended. The apartment was equipped with kitchen equipment and a hairdryer. The only thing we didn't have that might have come in handy was an iron and a dustpan but otherwise everything was great. We really enjoyed our stay here and hope you do too!

What value!

After all the doom and gloom on here about how rubbish Apartment 5 is, you can imagine how we felt (at about 11.30 at night) when we arrived here and discovered this was our apartment! Yet after only 1 day, I loved it. Partly because, in the late afternoons and evenings it was out of the full glare of the sun (and, let's face it, you need somewhere cooler to sit out), but mostly because of the garden running along its length with the cats. I love cats, adore them. And they weren't a nuisance, just came for a look if there was something to eat, or just for a stroke. It made my holiday.
In terms of location, it was brilliant. Five minutes to a lovely sandy beach, an easy walk, sometimes seeing a lizard. Or a nice meandering 8 minutes, up to the main road with shops, restaurants, etc, avoiding the slog up the steep hill. 
Only niggles I had were the studio was a bit on the small side, and also the entire place was non-smoking, which I think they should have advertised.
