The apartments were in a central location and spotless clean however, we were advised that the pool was open and we arrived to find it was closed! This was during October half term. We ended up having to book and pay for alternative accommodation with a pool!

Just returned from Sunflower Appointments and have to say it was a marvellous place to stay , basic but typically Greek .Tamara very helpful always concerned that things where ok . Denise in pool bar also a lovely lady , I have read reviews saying she’s miserable but certainly wasn’t with us . Bit of a dodgy hill on the approach but would certainly recommend Sunflower 👍

Tip Top review of Sunflower Apartments, and Kassiopi, Corfu. 
First off, we arrived in the dark, we’d booked a private transfer, I was quite glad we had as the coast road is a bit hairy! I was not prepared for the travel sickness or just how bendy some of the roads are. Jeremy Clarkson could film a top gear here and it would have viewers on the edge of their seats! Our driver seemed to want to chat all the way there which meant us British polite people chatted back despite it being 1am and we fancied an hours kip! 
Sunflower Apartments are basic, it’s traditionally Greek and from experience,  they all seem to be a little like this. The buildings a little tired and could do with some maintenance however the Sunny welcome you will receive from Tamara and gang will soon brighten them up. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment with small kitchen, eating area, balcony, and bathroom. Room 7 was top floor and came with a side seaview. There was ample cutlery, pans and hob space to make a basic pasta meal. Although there were too many yummy restaurants in Kassiopi itself to do this more than once! 
The Sunflower has access to the pool next door at the Kalimera if you use their bar, so that’s easy enough, nice clean pool and bar, snacks and warm welcome from Denise who has an argument at least once a day with the other staff! Entertaining to watch! 
Location with the Sunflower is one of its biggest drawers. Bang in the middle of town but not noisy and easy to walk everywhere. When we were there however it was 40 degrees so we didn’t walk that far! The mattresses were my kids only complaint, a bit on the thin side and the springs had sprung off in some cases. New mattresses would be a real boost to the Sunflower. 
Room was cleaned most days, cleaning ladies were lovely, mopping, making beds and changing towels, speaking of towels, they were fresh but some of the linen could do with an upgrade. If you would like a view ask for an upper floor room, the apartment below ours seemed to look onto a rock. Upper floor room numbers were 6, 7, 8, and 14, 13, 12. Some of these are studios and some are 2 bedrooms. 
Look out for the tortoises in the garden, we had to look every day, super cute and not camera shy! 
Tamara who manages the complex is lovely, happy to chat anytime and can give you some good recommendations. Very good at replying to guests queries and you can message her anytime. 
Now for Kassiopi, it really is the jewel in the crown of Corfu but a couple of things let it down, the municipality really need to empty the bins more often and clean up some of the alleyways. The alley from the Sunflower beside the school needs a skip and a good scrub. If I were there I’d get the school to do some art down there, it’s quite poorly lit and scruffy. Take a torch is my top tip! 
The other way to get to the main roads from Sunflower is a wider road but again means you are walking past derelict buildings, and unfinished apartments. Such a shame when generally the area is beautiful. 
The final 100 yards to the Sunflower is mega steep and for this reason not suitable for people with disabilities, generally the complex is very up and down so might be worth considering. 
Cats are everywhere! We like them but there aren’t for everyone. Kassiopi Cats Miaow do a good job of neutering them all, and feeding them during the winter. We saw a young kitten one evening and they went out to check on him which was very good. Please drop some food for them in Cosmic Travel, and they’ll pick up.

The two or three hand made gift shops, one on the Main Street upstairs on the left where the lady crochets beautiful things, and the other one on the harbour (Pucoli?) which is a mixture of crafts. Great souvenirs, could have spent up! Oh yeah, we did! 🤣🤣



Great location, people and views…👍👍

Recently returned from 5 nights at the sunflower. I was really apprehensive as couldn’t find much on them.

It’s a fab little base. The apartment we had (number 14) was lovely. Twin beds, dressing table, double wardrobe - everything we needed. Kitchen had 2 cooking rings, kettle, fridge and toaster.

Bottle of water in the room when we arrived and a small tray with tea/coffee etc on which was a nice touch.

We were told to email hotel 24 hours in advance to organise arrival as there is no reception. We didn’t get a reply which worried me but I need not have as there is a reception - just not manned 24/7. There was a notice on the door telling us our room and keys were in our door.

Room was spotless and cleaned daily. We had towels and bedding changed once whilst there.

We didn’t have a view of anything from the balcony as we were overlooking other balconies and homes but it was still a nice place to have a drink in an evening.

The accommodation doesn’t have its own pool but there is a pool next door (you literally walk past it to get to the sunflower) which is open 0800-2400 (wasn’t disturbed by it though) with plenty of loungers and bar serving food and drink.

The location of the sunflowers is amazing, 2 mins and you are in the heart of kassiopi (use passage up side of school) or if you walk the other way you are right by the well stocked supermarket.

The accommodation is on a hill and no good for people with mobility problems due to the last 10m plus the accommodation is a maze of steps.

Would I go back? Yes definitely.

Would I recommend it. Yes definitely.

Lovely little base

There's a little magic about the Sunflower lovely clean room receptionist & general helper Tamara gave a warm welcome & genuin6e concerned that you were happy with things.
There was a bottle of water & tea and coffee etc in the apartment on arrival. 
Housekeeping was brilliant and although the rooms were basic they were cleaned beautifully.
Loved the little basket of goodies halfway through our stay which was such a contrast to another apartment  we had left on Agios geodios to come to Sunflower which was a dump & had nothing like the above services or welcome & aftercare. 

Only small complaint would be the shard pool with the adjacent property was closed at the end of season but not the fault of Sunflower & our things were moved around & put in cupboards etc by housekeeping & we'd prefer thrm not to be touched.

Little touches made Sunflower standout 

My husband and I visited the sunflower apartments in July 2020 (during COVID-19) and we had a great holiday. 

The apartments are typically Greek which we expected as frequent Greek visitors, basic - but they were clean. Ran by friendly people, happy to give recommendations on location amenities etc. Apartments are in a good location in beautiful Kassiopi, up a steep hill but really nothing to worry about. 

We were disappointed that the neighbouring pool that is shown in photos and advertised was not in use. Not only that, during our stay the pool was filled with stagnant foul water and it really did stink. I appreciate the pool doesn’t belong to the apartments but really someone should have sorted this, just emptying it would’ve helped with the smell. That said, the staff informed me of another pool in the area which we could use which was nice, just a pain to walk to and we felt like imposters there!

The apartment itself was fine, spacious with a balcony area, no real view, plenty of storage. Fan, fridge included. 

Overall, decent value for money. Would I return? Definitely to Kassiopi and maybe here - if we were on a budget and only if the pool was in use.

Great resort

Me & hubby had a week in these great apartments Sept 2019. Welcomed by the owners with beer, wine, bread & dip. Chatted in the courtyard, gave us a map of the area & pointed out beaches, bars, restaurants etc
Room was typically greek with all you needed & more. Very clean & adequate.
Gorgeous pool thru a gate available to apartment guests, at the cost of a drink from their bar. Town just 5 mins walk, harbour thru the main street. Highly recommend these lovely apartments and Kassiopi is such a great traditional greek fishing village. 
You won't be disappointed!! 

Fabulous apartments in beautiful Kassiopi

Booked a 13 night stay here as our initial hotel of choice was unavailable. What a find...
The owners Dimitris and Lorraine certainly go beyond what you would expect to ensure every guest has a perfect stay in this quaint, typically Greek, accommodation. Although self catering it is the first place I've stayed where you are supplied washing up liquid, soap, dish cloths, salt and pepper, tea and coffee etc. and the wifi actually works in every room in the apartment. Towels are changed every day, except Sunday, but then there where more than enough for the two of us. The accommodation is clean and tidy and as I said the owners are more than accommodating.
The location is excellent for everything in Kassiopi, Whilst no pool at the hotel, the pool next door is open to the public and serves food and drink all day.
Only one slight comment and that is the walk up the road to Sunflower Apartments is not for the faint hearted. Its probably only 100m long but it gets steeper the further you go up, the last few steps are a challenge..... Always raised a laugh trying to get back to our apartment late at night. Coming out of the complex you feel like Eddie the Eagle as you step out on to the road.
Would thoroughly recommend. We shall definitely return.

Perfect in every way

Well this was the best find,a proper Greek accommodation from the minute we got there the welcome was amazing we were greeted with water, zatziki , bread,olive, and of cause wine and fresh fruits. The room was lovely the pool next door was great but we spent most of our 10 days on the beautiful beach’s. Would I go again SEE YOU next year xx☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

Super sunflower 

Charming apartments, clean and very close to restaurants and beach.  Shared pool recently re-vamped with new sunbeds, chairs and tables making it very enjoyable place to stay.
The owners were extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.
