Koulouris Apartments

A lovely week at Koulouris at the end of September. A well cared for property with just 4 rooms and 2 small bungalows with a lovely new pool in private, peaceful gardens. Warm welcome and an apology for the inclement weather, which improved dramatically after the first day! Water, wine, fruit, crisp breads, portions of butter, jam, coffee & tea. The milk I’d requested in advance was waiting in the fridge. So enough to tide you over until you can get to the supermarket 500m away. Air con, smart TV with Netflix, WiFi which worked well and reached to the pool in the garden. Iron, hairdryer, toaster, coffee machine, 1 electric ring and enough kitchen utensils, crockery etc. Room cleaned twice during my stay, towels and pool towels provided. Very narrow L shaped balcony with drying rack, table and chairs. Views of the mountains and Aptera with a glimpse of Souda Bay. 5 minute walk to the beach with sun beds in front of GK hotel. 7€ for a taxi into the centre of Kalyves/town beach. 15€ for a taxi to Aptera which has a couple of lovely tavernas. There is some road noise at peak periods, I live somewhere very quiet so perhaps I noticed it more than most people and within a couple of days I no longer noticed it. Lovely, very comfortable bed, a real treat in Greece! The family are friendly and helpful. A thoroughly enjoyable week, highly recommended.
