Ionian Star Hotel

Smooth late check in. Room 114 overlooked the road so not much of a view, no problem as only used the room to sleep and wash. Hotel was modern and ideally placed for the beach and restaurants. The pool was an adequate size with steps in which helped. We ate at the hotel for dinner a few times and the food was lovely, breakfast was okay although we missed it a few times due to a couple of very late nights in the bar across from the hotel. The sea view rooms are reserved for ‘Private’ guests. The cleaners were superb and kept our room and the hotel nice and tidy. A very relaxing holiday, and a hotel we would be more than happy go back to, which is why there are quite a lot of returning guests. Slight accident in the room, my wife ( it was our honeymoon) got up in the night and hit her head on the light above her bed and broke it ( the light shade that is), guess it used to be a double bed in the past and not 2 singles. Strange thing is the balcony had nowhere to dry swimming costumes etc?
