The small studios are very nice and clean. The bathroom if it is quite design and doesn't look old it seemed to have had a good life. The manager is very kind and booked us a good reception. The restaurant is very good, the best I've had on a series of half-board hotels and the service is impeccable. Indeed the hotel is in the vicinity of the runway of Heraklion Airport located a few kilometers away, so it's not a problem for some people but personally it didn't bother me.

Good restaurant and welcome

My boyfriend and I spent a week at the Kritzas Beach Apartments and I highly recommend AGAINST spending your money there. I heard this apartment complex is owned by different families together, and I believe some of those family members actually work there. We arrived at 10 o’clock in the evening, and this old gentlemen who was at the reception (in his 70ies) did not even say hello to us, started off by giving us our bracelets and we just immediately felt unwelcome. There was also this other man who works for the apartments, and he mostly stayed at the restaurant area during our entire stay. He's Greek, bald and slightly overweight, who goes by name of "Mister Kostas"; he is the rudest person I ever came across while travelling. He picked up a fight with my boyfriend over Fanta, was laughing at the guests, answering people in a very aggressive manner, always ready to pick up a fight with people, and he behaved like he just hates people. Overall very bad vibes at this place. We made the mistake of ordering half-pension, but the food was not good. The breakfast was honestly terrible, cold eggs, cheap cereal, dry bread, the meat was dry and not cooked properly, only 4 dishes available on the menu every night. Do not order half-pension or not even pay for the breakfast because it’s not worth it. The only friendly person was the gentlemen who was looking after the pool area with dark hair. Me & my Boyfriend were on our first travel away together so we didn't want to make it a negative experience. Otherwise we would have left this place on the first night, called Corendon and asked to stay somewhere else. The apartments are also located on the way to the airport so if you're a light sleeper you'll hear the planes all night long. The actual apartments are good for the money you pay & well equipped but old. Flushing didn't work, doors wouldn't close properly and the wifi is VERY slow. We’re a young couple and we’re both very chilled not looking for luxury whatsoever, the staff alone ruined the experience in the apartments. Luckily we spend most of the days away, we were back for the food because we had already paid for everything. We felt very bad vibes and negative energy from the staff members, really not worth it. Do not spend your money at this location, stay somewhere else and enjoy your holidays. ALSO do not rent your car with them they will overcharge you incredibly, the entire island is basically an entire car rental service, you're able to find reliable, affordable car rental somewhere else.

We had a nice stay at Kritzas beach hotel. The staff is really friendly and always ready to help.

Our room was viewing the pool area what was really nice and the room was clean and neat.
We had breakfast every morning in the restaurant were they serve you a typical simple breakfast like eggs, ham , cheese, coffee, tea and bread and some days there was watermelon. 

The rooms get cleaned almost everyday but honestly it seems like they are just folding clothes and sweeping the floor.
And there weren’t much kitchen supplies what made it hard to flip the egg:) 

But besides that we enjoyed our stay at the hotel!



Nice stay

I was at this hotel two years ago and thought it would be great again. But a lot has changed. The overall impression of the service at the hotel is not very, many nuances that spoil the impression of this place - on the territory of the hotel there is an active construction going on, it can be heard from morning to noon, and despite the assurances of the owners that there are still two days left and everything is over, it all lasted two weeks - We ordered a room from seaview ourselves, but the first room in which we could only call the seaview- the seawater after closing our eyes - a video of the seawater standing for a kilometer through the same three stages (thanks, it was able to change its normal taste, but it's more like a dessert, since the seawater was free) - but the seawater was not full of air (now the cheese was finished), the door was not closed - it was not possible to live in the seawater - it was not possible to eat and drink from the seawater, but it was not possible to eat in the bathrooms, which we did not eat for two weeks,

Did not live up to expectations

They came in as newlyweds, but there was no compliment from the administration, even the beds were separate! After arriving from the excursion, they found that the door to the room was open: locks work once, but the owners of the hotel didn't bother much. Luckily, nothing was missing. Breakfast was just awful: yogurt or omelette (without and absolutely not tasty cooked); tea or coffee, a slice of cheese and branches.

It doesn 't match the 4 stars.

With children under 3 years old, the older one will be bored. I'll try to break it down briefly and advise on a case) The hotel has a nice WIFI. There is a good TV, no Russian TV. I've got coffee in my room, there's plenty of room. The rooms are big, kitchen-room, bedroom. There's a one-table table. The tea is giving away cheap plastic. There's a microwave. There's a small fridge. There's a bathtub. There's a bathtub. There's a air conditioner. There's a good WIFI. There's no Russian TV. I've got coffee in my room, there's an orange cup. I've got a coffee in my room. I've got a big room, there's a kitchen-room, there's a bedroom. Who's gonna say thank you.

for middle-aged and families with children

If you're tired of eating at a Swedish table and want to feel a little local, you're here! They bought a nice seafront apartment right next door, you're sitting on a terrace, like on a beach. There's a kitchen corner in the room. There's 2 big supermarkets (bazar and halkidiki) in the village. It's a little bit more than 2 kilometres away if you don't go in the heat of the day.

It's a special place.

If you want to relax without the crowds of tourists, you can go here. There is a sandy beach (almost no people), just across the street from the lodge, a rocky beach (no one at all).

We stayed at the beach apartments for 1 week and could not fault the accommodation at all. Clean, spacious, great pool/garden area and all kitchen equipment is there! B&b is good. Bread ham and cheese, cakes, eggs and tea and coffee all brought to your table! A little shop on site for basics. All owners are very friendly! Area around apartments is quite. 15 minute walk to the main beach and restaurants. Went in October so a lot had closed up for the season but everywhere we went served lovely very reasonable priced food! 

Couple week away

As two young adults we stayed at Kritzas  beach bungalows in the July for 7 nights. We were bed and breakfast so I can't comment  on the evening food. The apartments were clean  and were equipped with everything you would need for going self catered.  Although in a nice and quiet location most of the time the hotel is located in the flight path and as being 17km from the airport although at night this wasn't a problem. As the hotel was off the beaten track  a car was required. There is a min market on site where you can grab a few bottles of water and snacks.  Being a family run hotel staff were very friendly and spoke to you in the  morning and the evening. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants  to explore and prefer to go self catering.
