Hotel Harry's Paradise

Second visit here. Outstanding from start to finish, Evdokia, Maria and Captain Pavlos gave a warm welcome and helped us have an unforgettable stay. We did the Telendos sunset cruise. Evdokia very kindly provided a lovely birthday cake for me and Captain Pavlos was a charming host and excellent seaman. The gardens and communal area were stunning and we enjoyed the yoga studio for group fitness. I will be back next year. Thank you team Harry Paradise.

My stay here was True to its name,  Sarah’s  paradise! in every way. The restaurant was better than  world class.´, exquisite home made dishes with ingredients locally produced. 
The friendliest owners I’ve ever encountered. 😊 I really felt at home immediately. 
Emborios, the  most northerly village on Kalymnos  is small with a handful of tavernas and places to stay. The peace is tangible and staying here is the perfect place to relax with a beautiful beach and delicious food available. The beach tavernas offer  comfy loungers at the waters edge. 
I whole heartedly recommend Harry’s Paradise. Perfect for the whole family including small children. 

Spent a wonderful 4 nights at Harry’s paradise Emporio about 40 mins from Pothia, just a very tranquil experience in a beautiful setting of Aleka’s gardens and a 50 yards from the idyllic Emporio beach, quiet peaceful a real Greek experience

We stayed in the family apartment at Harry’s Paradise. Having read some excellent reviews, I had high expectations & they were fully met. The rooms are simple & nicely furnished with a view of the gorgeous well tended garden. Evdokia is welcoming & genuine host & she and her team cook the most delicious food. Emporios bay is stunning with 360 degree views of the surrounding cliffs and islands. The locals here are warm and friendly. It’s a 1 minute walk from Harry’s paradise to the pebbly beach & restaurants. It is useful to hire a car if staying here in order to easily reach other destinations on the island. You can park on the road just outside. A very memorable stay in a fantastic location.

We have stayed at Harry's Paradise for a number of years, and have always found it excellent. The accommodation, though basic, is attractive, clean, air-conditioned and well-situated. The location of the restaurant, too, is very good - in a delightful garden with well-tended flowers and bushes. The food is of a high quality. One of the particular delights of Emporios is that everything is so close to hand. You can stay in Harry's Paradise and be on the beach in less than five minutes. A very attractive deal all round.

We were so glad that we chose Harry's Paradise Apartments for our stay on Kalymnos. While we were in the taxi driving to Emporios, we were a little nervous that it was so far from the port, but in the end this made our holiday so relaxing and it felt like we got to experience a more authentic place. The village is very small and you can walk down the road to the pebble beaches. In the evening, the restaurants set up tables on the pebbles so you eat with the waves lapping next to your feet. 

Our room was quaint and simple but had everything we needed, including a nice balcony overlooking the absolutely beautiful garden. The garden is like an oasis - I spent a couple of hours one afternoon reading and dozing in a hammock among the trees and flowers; it really felt like paradise.

My review of Harry's Paradise last year still stands as ever true and is here on my profile for all to read. This year Harry's was a clear fixed destination on our compass as we sailed the sometimes blustery and swelling Aegean to reach Emporios on Kalymnos. Memories of its luxuriant and peaceful garden increased in focus as we approached the beautiful bay surrounded by high arid mountains and not one detail of this retreat disappointed as we hit terra firma and entered its gates. Dimitri Roditis is still its majestic master of ceremonies guiding us through a tighter menu than last year yet one capable of hitting all of the local and organic culinary highs we so vividly remembered and sought. Mezze included superb fritters of Tomato and feta as well as courgette and tzatziki, a "terrine" of powerful crushed local tomato with mozzarella piping hot from their ovens, the best Greek salad of our trip so far salty creamy firm feta, capers plump olives from Kalymata and deeply succulent local tomato with cucumber and and thick slices of beetroot with a pungent garlic sauce only perfect in Greece. Dimitri's mastery of our needs included a spot on recommendation of a perfectly balanced Greek white wine that packed a sweet yet freshly green and sunny punch. Main dishes were wholesome yet more rudimentary, a royal whole fish poached in tomato and onion, grilled chicken, pork chops all served with crispy salad and about the best hand cut french fries with sea salt we had ever tasted. Harry's, though gastronomically heightened, is as Greek Taverna food should be and is a constellation away from the often tired fare served at the more typical waterside tavernas on the Greek islands. As we have always visited Emporios by boat we have never stayed here ourselves yet have friends who have that loved its rooms and the overall experience of, albeit temporarily, belonging to such a magical place. Until next year ....

It was our first stay in Kalymnos and this was the perfect place, so quiet and beautiful.  Village is small and peaceful and scenery and walks are great. . Apartments are clean, each has its own character and the garden is lovely.  The restaurant food is great using local ingredients, some from the garden.  A perfect place which is Paradise indeed.

We had dinner and stayed in this place several times and always loved it. Evedukia gives it a special warmth with her sincere kindness and attention to your wishes. The breakfasts are gorgeous, the restaurant offers good and various dishes.
Definitely worth the 10 more minutes travel time from the crowded Massouri.
