Kantouni Beach Boutique Hotel

I've visited this hotel before, almost twenty years ago when it was very different to how it is now. The re-vamp is unbelievable and the place feels completely new, whilst still in the same setting on the beach. The design is stunning and the attention to detail immaculate. And the service? On another level. The staff are so friendly, so helpful and so attentive, both me and my daughter felt like royalty/family. Here are some of the ways the staff and hotel go the extra mile - water and fresh fruit brought to you on the sunbeds - gift bag in hotel on arrival with local treats - cleaning staff went above and beyond to find my daughter's watch when she lost it, and deal with the aftermath from an illness (see below) - 'good night' sweeties brought to the room every night - help and care when my daughter got ill (see below) Sometimes you only know the true heart of people when the sh*t hits the fan. Three days before the end of the holiday, my daughter got gastroenteritis (NOTHING to do with the hotel or anyone in it). During the first night she threw up on the floor because she couldn't get to the bathroom in time. The night staff were amazing, bringing me everything I needed to clear it up (they offered to clear it up but I said no), and being on hand throughout the night for anything we needed. The next morning they helped get electrolytes and anything else we needed, and then when it became clear my daughter needed to go to hospital, again, they helped arrange everything. We needed to stay a night in the hospital so the hotel sorted us out pillows, duvets, towel, soap, water, food etc to make our stay better, and kept in touch on the phone the whole time. Honestly, I feel extremely emotional writing this review as they were just so supportive when my husband was at home and I was on my own with our child managing a very serious illness. I cannot recommend this hotel and the staff more highly. They were simply the absolute best and we will be returning to stay as often as we can!
