What a lovely little island! The Hotel Maistrali was just opposite the beach so no distance to cool off! Babis and his family couldn't have looked after us better - the twin and double seafacing rooms we had were very comfortable (incl hairdrier and AC) and they couldn't do enough to help us. They lent us sun umbrellas, phoned around on our behalf to find a hire car at the last minute for our last day and even told us to call if we got in a any problems. Lovely hotel and people and very chilled out.

A lovely understated hotel right on the beach. The proprietor is a lovely man who will share his knowledge of the island and assist in anything you require regarding car rental or choice of eateries. The hotel itself has a calming ambience. Breakfasts are a simple laid back affair with lots of choice, the homemade apple pie is a must.

Very nice hotel. Clean, great view, close to the port and minutes away from any restaurant/shop in Livadi. The host was very friendly and helpful. He gave us a pamphlet with information on the island and catered to our needs. Breakfast was ok, I would expect a little more for the price but overall a great experience. Definitely recommend!

The first thing you need to know is that we never actually got to stay here. When we booked this hotel we thought it was on Kythnos. Not sure how that happened but when we realized it was less than 48 hours before we were due to arrive. I emailed the hotel at 2am and explained that a mistake was made and we asked them to waive the cancellation fee which was the full price we had already paid for our stay. 
Needless to say I wasn’t hopeful. But to my surprise and delight I received an email mid morning on the same day saying they would refund us on full. 

Mr Bobolas, the hotel manager, was understanding and accommodating and our main regret is that we weren’t able to stay at this hotel. 

In today’s world where the dollar is more important than people it is refreshing to find a business that is understanding and compassionate. 

When we get back to the Greek Islands we will most defiantly visit the Maistrali Hotel in Livadi Serifos. We offer our heartfelt thanks!!!!

Babis the owner/ manager was great, he was very helpful, kind and happy to chat and recommend places. The location is perfect, it is very near the ferry port and has a beach for during the day as well as being right next to a good selection of bars and restaurants. The rooms were spacious and bright with working air con and a lovely balcony with a view of the sea. The bathroom was modern and recently renovated and all was kept clean by the very friendly cleaning staff. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Serifos.

Delightful hotel on a delightful island. A bit old-fashioned but very comfortable and friendly. Rooms not large but with balconies with superb views. Breakfast is quite excellent. Tavernas and all amenities nearby. Thoroughly recommended for anyone wanting a stay on a real Greek island. (May not be at its best in August !!)

I loved my 3 night stay at Maistrali, the room and terrace were generous and comfortable, the view fantastic, the bathroom brand new and lovely, and the owner a very kind and intuitive gentleman who knew just where to direct me for daily walks and explorations. This is a quiet hotel with simple, authentic decoration and a warm and caring vibe, I highly recommend! 

Relaxing, cute hotel with impressive views from terrace. We was four with a room with two bedroom, good sizes of the bedroom and comfortable beds that for us is key to sleep properly. The breakfast is a good Greek one and the owners make you feel part of the family.

My second stay here, 6 years after the first. Once again, Babis the hotel owner was as friendly and helpful as possible, ensuring that our stay was thoroughly enjoyable. The hotel bathrooms have been updated since my last visit, no doubt a considerable investment on Babis’s part. The hotel location is great, just a few metres round the road from the restaurants in Livadi. I thoroughly recommend staying at this hotel, which although built in the 60s, is kept spotlessly clean and is entirely suitable for the modern traveller. I find it odd that the hotel receives any negative comments, people surely cannot expect for more on a tiny Greek island It’s not Mykonos after all, and certainly not Mykonos prices. Excellent value for money. 

It is difficult to put a finger on just why we were so happy with our stay at this gem of a hotel. Was it because Babis, the owner, happily picked us up on arrival and returned us to the port at the end of our stay? Fairly important at out stage in life! Or the rooms with stunning views - the front towards the bay and the rear towards Chora perched upon the hill? Or having the breakfast on the terrace outside with views of the bay and local life? Babis was an excellent host and was pleased to offer advice on where to visit, eat etc. The rooms were spotless, comfortable and with plenty of hot water and super air conditioning. Our stay at Maistrali has really encouraged us to return next year - but for longer. What an excellent advert for Serifos and great value too!

This hotel is located on the beach and near many restaurants.  The manager was very friendly.  Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet.  It was an easy walk from the ferry landing.  We enjoyed happy hour at the nearby Yacht Club.  When we checked out, the manager gave us a handcrafted wooden boat.  Very nice.

Brilliant hotel

The Maistrali is in an ideal location, midway between the port and the local beach. You are met off the ferry by the owner himself, lovely character, so is the car. The Maistrali is a little dated today, but don't be put off by this, the rooms are quite large, well furnished, air conditioning, modern bathroom, and very clean, as is the whole hotel. Breakfast is served on the terrace at the front of the hotel overlooking the sea with a good choice to choose from. The Owners local knowledge is first class, and he will help you throughout your stay, traditional Greek, highly recommended.

Ideal location.

Nice hotel very basic but what does the difference is the owner which is always there to help and he’s very kind 

the rooms are clean nevertheless and the TV works ! No toiletries 

is very close to the beach like 20 m it is convenient if you want to spend most of your time outside the room highly recommended value for money
