Talea Beach Hotel

We were really looking forward to our holiday in Crete, but we didn’t expect Hotel Talea to surprise us in such a wonderful way – right from the very first day! The hotel is in a perfect location, right on a beautiful beach. If you're looking for peace, gorgeous sea, a relaxed atmosphere, and also the opportunity to explore the surrounding area, Bali is a great choice. There are several car rental places nearby and we personally recommend Camel. We rented a small cabrio and our trip around the island was unforgettable. You should also hop on the tourist train, which stops just a few meters from the hotel and takes you through the whole village. And don’t miss the local souvenir shops, the best little treasures are hidden in a family-run shop by the harbor :) We could walk from our room to the beach in under two minutes! We rented luxury sunbeds with umbrellas (for a small fee) and enjoyed the crystal-clear sea and sandy bottom. The beach is surrounded by hills, and the scenery? It’s hard to describe, you simply have to experience it. The hotel also has a very clean, well-maintained pool, a shower by the beach, and free sunbeds available for all guests. Between the hotel and the beach is the lovely Talea Beach Bar, which we truly loved. Fantastic sea views, comfortable seating, friendly staff, and a great selection of drinks at reasonable prices – perfect for your afternoon coffee or a romantic evening cocktail. Now for the best part: the hotel staff. Every single person we met was incredibly kind, welcoming, professional, and always smiling. Thanks to them, we felt more than welcome, we felt truly cared for. I loved being greeted with a smile wherever I went and honestly felt like a princess. A huge thank-you to all of them! Our Room with a View Our room was stylish, cozy, and spotlessly clean, with a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. Daily housekeeping was thorough, the air-conditioning worked perfectly, and even though the shower didn’t have a curtain, it was no problem, the bathroom was designed with this in mind. There was plenty of storage space and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. (I always bring my own hairdryer, so I didn’t mind that there wasn’t one in the room.) Food & All-Inclusive Dining The all-inclusive buffet was a really pleasant surprise. I’m a pescatarian (I don’t eat meat, but I do eat fish) and there was always plenty for me to choose from. Fresh fish, vegetables, salads, cheese, olives, Greek specialties, everything was delicious and beautifully presented. And the desserts? Pure heaven! We looked forward to every meal. And don’t forget to try the red wine at the bar – it’s lovely! :) One Little Downside... If I had to mention one thing that disturbed us, it would be the roosters (maybe more than one?) that started crowing very early in the morning and they were loud! We solved it by closing the balcony door at night or using earplugs, but still they were quite persistent. All in all, this was a wonderful, peaceful holiday full of relaxation, and unforgettable memories. We left feeling rested, refreshed, and full of gratitude. Thank you to everyone at Talea Beach!
