Just brilliant. Amazing views from apartment , clean comfortable and very central. The owner is really lovely and friendly . Just a few minutes away from the main port area but also it’s really peaceful. Hydra is one gem !!!  Walk to a beach area ( platforms ) takes about 5 minutes. Hydra can get busy in the day , it’s beautiful so I guess everyone wants to visit , but early morning it’s great for walking as so quiet. Loved it and this apartment was well worth the money

quiet but in the center. Very very clean. Nice room. Nice bathroom. Personel bery friendly. If you looking some place where you want to rest and spend your time. This is a very good choice. Good relation quality to price. 

I spent two nights with my boyfriend here. We definitely want to come back to Hydra and we be very happy to stay again at this wonderful place. We found the price very reasonable, especially considering the location and the great hospitality! Perfectly located for the port and to walk to the beaches of Hydra. We highly recommend it!

Just moments from the harbor, this is a great location ( though loud when the windows are open). The beds were very, very hard, but the room was clean and the shower was really nice. Hydra is a must-see! 

I found Efi's pension by coincidence just walking down some steps. It was a very fortunate find since the rooms, basic though comfy give the customer the feeling that this is worth the money he or she is spending here. Clean, no-nonsense and reasonably priced at Hydra standards. Near the port.

Typical "Greek island hotel", which means relatively small and basic rooms. Very friendly owner (also very typical :). Note that 3 or 4 of the top floor rooms have balcony with great view over the city and the harbor. I definitely recommend paying extra for one of these rooms. Actually, there are almost no other hotels with balcony in Hydra city, which is a reason by itself to stay in this hotel. The owner also has a store closer to the harbor (on the way to the hotel), there is a "Pension Efie" sign outside the store and probably smart just to drop by here when you arrive to find the owner and do "the paperwork".

Perfect place

Very proper, very satisfying

A typically small room which was adequate for our recent 3 night stay when my wife and I attended a friends wedding. 

Our room was so small in fact, there was no place (except for the bed) where you were able to lay your suitcase flat and we had a daily puzzle of shifting our cases around the room as we wrestled with access to the bathroom, wardrobe and dressing table. I found the years of playing 'Twister' when I was younger surprisingly beneficial, contorting my body around furniture obstacles!  Still, the view from tight balcony is what it was all about.

I was a little concerned with the visibility of the owner once we'd checked in. The lady owns a gift shop nearby but proved a little of an enigma when we asked for our passports to be returned. I don't think there was anything too sinister as we got the impression that they were held as deposit until we paid for our room but this was never explained to us and the owner's English isn't very good. Returning to our room about 6pm or so on our final night (our ferry left the next morning at 7pm) we were unable to find someone to help us - as the owner was 'out' - until 9;30pm, which was a worry and inconvenience.

My advice would be to pay as soon as possible in order to have your passport's returned.
