The Dionysos Inn

Very helpful owners, great location right next to the metro or 30 minutes walking distance from the touristic center. The room was nice, the only improvement could be to have curtains that make the room dark. Totally recommend staying here!

Great stay

To put it into perspective, we visited in March 2018 and have been to 12 countries since. We’ve seen some shoddy hotels in our time but as a LITERAL benchmark of quality we honestly say “still not as bad as the Dionysos”.

The area is rough, the bathroom is filthy and the actual rooms are another block away from the main reception / check in desk. If you’re visiting Athens, save a few more pennies and stay elsewhere. 


Dreadful but cheap 

We arrive with the taxi at the address on the web: Filis 91, then the guy gives the keys to an apartment that is 200mts away, on street iolanious 47.

The room is pretty awfull. Dirty, the wifi does not work. The bathroom is shared and it is really dirty as well.

Seriously, forget about the good reviews and the cheap price of this place because it is an authentic POS!!

Sleep outside, spend a few more bucks and go to an hotel!! Anything is better than this!

We booked this accommodation and just a day before our stay, we received a mail telling that the keys should be picked up at some other address. We were unable to find the address properly and we ended up just on the next door to the received address (received door no. was 15A and we were standing at door no. 15). Since we were standing at the next door, there were no staff and we didn't realize that we were standing at door no. 15.

I called The Viktoria Inn and told them that I am waiting outside and I couldn't find anyone. The reply that I got was, they will come in 3 minutes. But after 10 minutes when I called them and told that the door is locked and we are still waiting, this guy from Viktoria Inn came and told that he is cancelling my booking. He became so angry. He was not even ready to listen what we had to explain.

People in the shops nearby do not speak very good english and hence it is extremely difficult to locate the correct address when they change the address to pick up the room keys just a day before your stay.

I don't understand how can anyone cancel the booking exactly when we arrive at the location.

Never even book this accommodation. If you do, you are also running into a risk that if you miss to find the address of this place, this guy will become angry and will cancel your booking.

Such an arrogant people. Never ever choose this accommodation

Awful place to stay. They provide you with a tiny fan that does not work. We called to change room and the people were rude and did not help us. The place is old and smells of damp. Worst accommodation in Athens.
