Everything was perfect - from the magical view  - to the beautiful, tasteful, interior décor! The bed(s) were so comfortable, the personalised  bedlinen, beautiful.The colour schemes were so pretty and  the kitchen equipped down to the last detail. We found the brochure with all the useful tips on cafés, restaurants, beaches, etc., great too! A very friendly, helpful owner too - who was always available to answer any queries!

This was the nicest studio we stayed in on  our  5 island trip. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and spacious. The outside terrace was small but has exceptional views across to the Hora and out to sea. Correspondence with Eleni was excellent and her mum Rena could not have been more helpful in greeting us and kindly meeting us on our last day with our bags at the port .
It is an easy 5 minite walk down hill to the windmill area with all the restaurants,  bars and supermarket however the walk back up with 42 steps to the terrace was a bit difficult for us ( no problem for our younger/ fitter neighnours)

We loved it here. From the first enquiry Eleni was nothing but attentive and informative. Reni met us when we arrived very early in the morning, stored our luggage and rang us when our room was ready. Room 3 was big and the outside space was very well done with padded 'beds' a table and comfy chairs. Well equipped kitchen and really hot water at the flick of a switch! There was easy parking, with 50 steps down to our room and another 42 steps in the opposite direction to windmill level. The view of the castle never failed to be spectacular. We really hope to return.

Eleni and her family are amazing hosts, willing to help with anything, provide useful tips & make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The studios are beautiful, really spacious & immaculately clean, decorated with excellent taste & well equipped. The view to the old part of Chora, the castle and the sea... breathtaking! The position is also excellent, accessible very easily on foot from the centre of Chora plus by car, with available parking space.

I visited Astypalea with my two girlfriends for a week  in the beginning of August 2017. Aspro Mple was the perfect choice to enjoy the amazing view of Chora and the Castle and be within walking distance of Chora. Our charming hostess Eleni welcomed us and picked us up at the airport (and her husband dropped us off on the day of departure despite the early morning hours!!). She provided us with tons of helpful tips about restaurants, beaches and shops, which all proved to be excellent! The studio was tastefully decorated, clean, spacious, the bathroom had one of the largest showers I have seen in an island hotel. We could sit on our terrace and soak in the stunning view. We were also lucky that our trip fell during full moon and the view of the moonrise behind the castle was mesmerising,  so if you can plan your trip to coincide with a full moon you will have an extra bonus! Even though the studios are on a hill, you can walk down to Chora in give or take about 5 minutes! It might not be suited for people with serious knee or mobility problems, since there are many stairs. But we did not even have to carry our bottled water up the stairs since Eleni had the store deliver it to our doorstep!!! Breakfast is not included, (there is a little basket with single-serving condensed milk and crackers in the room) but the facilities are there for you to prepare it yourself and you can pluck fresh figs right off the tree. Extra bonus, no mosquitoes, so you can enjoy the view at night without the annoying bloodsuckers! We would  return to this lovely hotel anytime and recommend Aspro Mple to anyone except to people with mobility impairment!!!!!

Owner Eleni takes great pride in providing high quality to her guests…and it shows! The linens and towels are top quality. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated and comfortable. The showers are the largest I saw in 5 weeks in Greece! With the large living space and the kitchen, it felt more like being in a lovely home than in a hotel. And the view from the balcony of the Venetian castle with the traditional white houses of the Hora is outstanding. Each evening I sat there with my Ouzo watching the shadows change as the sun set and had to pinch myself.

Note: While Eleni was away this winter the local government ran an electric wire across the view of the caste and Hora. Elleni is onto them about this and I imagine the line will soon be moved. She has a large balcony with an unobstructed view above the apartments that all guests are welcome to use.

The studio (N1 on the second tier) was roomy, clean and fully equipped, just as shown in the pictures. The bed was really comfy and the linen smelled beautifully. The kitchen area had all I could possibly need and more. Also upon arrival a few supplies were provided for my first few breakfasts, which was a really nice touch. Bathroom is also quite big but could benefit from a small table or cabinet to place toiletries on. The studios are just 5 minutes from the Chora Windmills, but be prepared for the steps (but that is part of the island's character). 
The owner was not on the island during my stay but we had a great communication when I booked the studio. Instead, her lovely mom was there to pick me up etc and was the available contact person at the time (her house is right above). She was very considerate and made sure I had all I needed. 
I highly recommend this place for a relaxed stay!
