Very pleasant family boarding house. Next to a very long sandy beach where you can rent shelters or go a little further, you will be quiet, with no one. The housekeeping was done several times a week, the towels changed once. We were half boarding house and we tasted many Greek specialties. The cooks are the women of the family and it's good. Dimitri played buzouki for two nights and he plays very well. The boarding house is family run and they are all very kind. It is located in the south of Corfu and we have been able to explore Paxos lefkimmi. I completely recommend this boarding house. Very good quality price.

Perfect overall package, thanks to Dimitrios and family.

Stayed in a newly refurbished room with a nice balcony, clean, with air condition, and even hair dryer and a tea set. Dimitris and Maria also have a restaurant offering delicious,  fresh, quality meals cooked by Maria, often with fresh vegetables or fruits from their garden, on a lovely new pergola.  You can also request a particular dish,  should you wish to do so.

The place is quiet, has a lovely familial, personal atmosphere,  being run by loving members of the same family, which makes all the difference from big anonymous hotels.  They make themselves very available for advice (places and restaurants to go to), help of any kind,  for instance to organize a transfer or rent a car. 

Marathias beach is indeed very near (about 200m away). It's quite a large sandy beach,  with good sand, crystal clean waters, safe for children (no sudden drop off, no current), quiet (no boats, jet skis etc.), perfect for a long swim and walks on the beach. You can choose lounges and umbrellas from different establishment on the beach.  We always went to the closest one, where you don't have to pay for the lounges if you order food or a drink from the restaurant by the beach.  It was the kingdom of Mr Christos,  competently dealing with the food or drink  orders, helping with the umbrellas, always with a smile. Food on the beach was also delicious, and affordable (fried fish, squids,saganaki, etc). So nice to get something else than the unavoidable sandwiches you generally find on the beach!

Last but definitely not least, there is also a little shop just opposite the entrance of Family studios run by Mrs Penelope,  the aunt of Dimitris.  Apart from warm hearted and full of humour, she also has a small but very well stocked shop with bottles of water and other drinks, first necessity goods, but also stuff for the beach and even handicrafts from the island. All very handy and we went there almost daily !

Highly recommended for relaxing holidays !

Certainly, you are 50 m from one of the most beautiful and beautiful sandy beaches on the island which benefits from a very good infrastructure but sqns bqtequx which pollute or disturb swimmers. But that is not the most important. You are invited by a Greek family who really cut themselves in four for you. The celebrated founder Mrs Maria is still the owner and helper but it is her son Dimitrios who has taken the shore very well. He gives you many ideas and tuberya for his needs and initiatives.

The Warmth of Being a Guest in a Greek Family

Excellent reception from Mrs. Maria and her family. Excellent location, 5 minutes walk from the beautiful beach of Marathias. Clean, large, clean rooms. The only drawback is the kitchen, not very equipped with flatware etc.

Like at home.

Dimitri and Maria are warm, humorous and helpful. The rooms are purposeful and clean. Maria's kitchen is fantastic and she meets every wish as much as possible. The beach is just a stone's throw away.

A perfect vacation

Delicious home made food. Typical local dishes cost no more than 10 euro for a portion, alcohol is relatively pricy for this location (6 euro for half litre of home wine, beer 3 euro). 
I recommend you to see live music which is played each week on Thursday evening. 
Maria, the owner is very nice and helpful.
Located 100 metres from beautiful big sandy beach.
All in all, it's one of the best I visited on Corfu).

Great cooking

The structure doesn't look very good, the surroundings are a bit desolate this season. Our living room is not very small but a bit dated and unconventional. Hot water sometimes there is sometimes no, breakfast is made up of the minimum, let's forget about yogurt, fruit etc. Being on the ground floor there are not many insects.

Minimum expenditure incurred

The Family Studios is owned by a nice family, who will do everything to make your holiday as nice as possible. We booked half-board, so Maria (the mother & owner) cooked us a genuine Greek meal every day and it was delicious! This is real traditional food. The breakfast was also nice, with tasty bread, ham, cheese, marmelade, eggs, coffee, juice, tea, etc. Dimitri was also a very nice host and he did all he can to make his guests feel at home and not to worry about anything. The rooms are decent, nice beds, nice view (!) over Marathias and the beach and very quiet at night. 
The beach of Marathias is small, but perfect. It has sand, some beach bars/tavernas (one of them is owned by Dimitri) which serves cocktails, snacks, etc. With a car, the whole island can be discovered within a few days, since it is not very big. 
Marathias is very small and has a few b&b', studios, rooms, so it's not very crowded (we went in september, so I don't know how the summer months are). 
I recommend Marathias especially to couples, for a nice and romantic holiday. If you stay with Maria, Dimitri and Georg, you will have a greay holiday, with the best Moussaka (made by Maria) you will ever taste and on thursday the nicest traditional music played by Dimitri. The sirtaki will never be the same again to me :)
