I was apprehensive about our accommodation having booked our trip away under such short notice and for the price, however, was beyond pleased with our stay. The pool area is fantastic. On any given day that we were there, there was no more than 6 people at the pool. It was calm, quiet and away from the madness of Kavos. It was like a private pool to ourselves. The owner of the hotel and the staff were so kind and accommodating to us. Every day they were so welcoming, with welcome drinks, beautiful and affordable food at the location. Honestly, 5 stars alone just for the staff and atmosphere. The location of the hotel was about 10 minute walk from Kavos center, which we were pleased about. It means you are just outside of all the madness of Kavos, and there was no young rowdy people staying at our hotel. There is a shop two minutes away with everything you need, a boat hire and water sports company 10 minutes right of the location and the city 10 minutes left. There was go carting next door, and although previous reviews mentioned noise, it was no issue. If I am ever looking for a quick and quiet getaway to Greece, I would happily come back to Athina Apartments, without considering anywhere else in the area. The rooms have only air conditioning by fans on the ceiling however, so at times the rooms were a little warm at night, but this was the only thing about the rooms and our stay at Athina that I can truly fault.
