A beautiful hotel.  Yiannis is a great host and made sure we had everything we needed, including a rental car and port transfers.  Breakfast was generous and wonderful, which we shared on the patio with the resident Mama Cat and her kittens. :) This was our first visit to Amorgos but will not be our last.  We spent 4 days falling in love with this remote island. We hiked to an old castle from the 5th century BC, were awed by a monastery from 1000 AD, scoured beautiful villages and met many a donkey and Aegean cat along the way.  Yiannis and the hotel showcase Amorgos hospitality at its finest.  

Wonderful accommodation on Amorgos

Lovely complex set in gardens. Yiannis the owner is very hard working and ensures the rooms are cleaned with fresh bedding and towels daily despite being short staffed and having to do most of it himself at that time. Hopefully he has more staff now. Dora the receptionist is lovely too
We had the family room as this was the only one available with a sea view. The balcony was enormous with a fabulous view of the sun setting each evening. This was definitely worth paying extra for.
The furniture and bathroom is a bit dated but the room was spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean.
Its a bit of a slog up.the hill if you are a bit older and less fit but we would definitely recommend it

We spent 4 nights in this hotel. A very good stay thanks to the friendly welcome of Yannis, always smiling and always ready to do your service. The hotel is very well located in a quiet environment 5 minutes from the beach, a pleasant breakfast and the spacious apartment, always very clean and well equipped.

A very good address

Second time I stayed at Gryspos hotel and the owner was pleasant and hospitable. The location was beautiful, lovely garden and clean rooms. I wish I could stay more there. Will definitely come back again!

Lovely place

The previous reviews tell of Yannis as a kind and open person... but I did not expect that as the owner he would do practically everything: cleaning, washing clothes, stretching, shopping, watering the garden, caring for animals, presiding over the reception... Surely the staff was reduced to a minimum due to the health emergency, this despite his commitment was impeccable.

You can call it the Yannis Hotel.

We stayed four nights in a family apartment with two balconies overlooking the garden. Very helpful and friendly owner. The best one I've ever met in Greece. Very clean rooms 5 minutes from the beach above the village.

Pleasant family stay

We stayed at Gryspo's for our six nights in Amorgos, a very well-placed establishment and Yiannis, the manager, very helpful, always with little care for us.

Very good.

This is a family run place,  not far from the port and the main areas of  Amorgos. Friendly owner who picked us up from the ferry terminal.  Check in was smooth. Room was spacious  with a balcony and had all the required amenities including coffee maker,  fridge,   hob etc. Wi fi was a bit hit and miss.The hotel also arranged for a rental car and gave several helpful tips about the island.  Quiet enough to relax but  shops and amenities,  beach bars etc  are available within walkable distance.


Nice  friendly hotel in Amorgos,  good value 

We spent five nights at the Gryspos Hotel during our stay in Amorgos. We rented a family apartment for two with a terrace. The price-to-price ratio of this apartment, where we would have been comfortable with two children, is excellent. The two rooms were air-conditioned, with a large shower, a nice refrigerator and two plates of cooking as needed. Breakfast is very good quality for the price (8€), with a fresh orange juice system for the day to start well. It is taken in the garden, under the palms, which is a very pleasant setting. The owner of the hotel is a very friendly terrace and has everything to simplify the hotel's life as needed.

Excellent family hotel, ideally located in Aegiali

At the top the owner for availability, cleaning, care of the public spaces, the view from the rooms and the spaciousness of the apartments, well provided. Honest prices. Also, aegiali, better than catapult in my opinion. To consider: - 5 minutes rather steep climb to get there from the beach (it is done, but with passenger/children afterwards and  still to consider a bit of fatigue) - perhaps regardless of the hotel in itself, eye to mosquitoes, maybe e was a case for some time / weather, but we literally devoured the children the first night (well check in the room, afterwards  with a little  attention and artificial remedy and I get the thing done).
