I've read some of the previous reviews and can't believe what some are moaning about!!! The Olympic holidays brochure clearly states rooms have shared terrace or balcony. It's Greece so it is basic but I've had the comfiest bed and the kitchenette is quite well equipped for Greece. I'm not a great walker so I only did the steps to the port once (which in all fairness I was advised of previous to coming) and the rest of the time I walked the main road route into 'town' which was much better for me. 5 Euros in a taxi back. Great supermarkets, fruit shops, souvenir shops and bars/restaurants. Not a huge amount but this is a lesser known island. Jump on the bus and go to Chora (old town) It's beautiful. I can appreciate some of the comments about the Elena bathrooms but at least you do get a shower curtain 🤣 This is luxurious compared to where I stayed in Skiathos!!! As for being on the 'main road' it hasn't bothered me at all. It is what it is. There is no reception but the family live opposite the pool so access was easy. If you're bothered about some people not speaking English, LEARN GREEK!! I haven't had any issues being understood. All in all I've had a great time here and would definitely return. A request is exactly that, so don't be upset if you don't get it. It's not like you've paid for it. It is Greek so get over it.
