We stayed here for 5 nights. We got a basement studio taht we complained first about..but then we decided to stay because it was cooler than the rest of the rooms. There is no net aginst the mosquitos, so prepare...the room was still hot even though it did not get reached by the sun. The bathroom is new and big. Good to have! The location of the hotel is good, right at the beach. Unfortunately for the sunbeds you either pay or you consume there.
The beach is long and sandy, good to run in the morning or evening :)

Firstly I must specify that we were on the beachfront location and not at the site of the hotel which is about a 3 minute walk away. Everything was very positive- rooms large and clean, cooking facilities were basic but it was possible to prepare a meal, Greek TV, WiFi access good and two terraces. The only negative was that we booked believing there was a pool - there is use of the pool at the hotel which is a short walk away. However as we were about 20 steps from the beach this was irrelevant. AC is €7 per day, the safe is €15 per week... all fairly standard for Greece. Sun beds and umbrellas are €5 per day - significantly cheaper than other parts of the island we visited. Taxi to/from airport can be arranged by the hotel reception and took about 30mins and was €40. They also organised car hire for us -€160 for 3days for VW Polo.

Great little gem

We got to the hotell at around 1pm after travelling for nearly 11 hours, and we just wanted to take a shower. We had to look for the manager a good five minutes but he was helping in the bar area so that was not really a problem. He booked us in, had a list of our names before we came so the travel agency delivered. How the hotel managed to deliver one of our rooms without any towels or kitchen equipment was therefore really beyond me. The manager did NOT like getting complaints and mumbled something about cleaning ladies (which i know for a fact come every third day), and in his very hard to understand english, kept saying its not his job. Generally a disaster as far as service goes. He looked offended and was dismissive about everything.

We got the towels as late as 24 hrs after booking in so we had to share the towels untill that. He avoided us after this incident.

Otherwise clean, nice enough rooms, though a bit small. Beach wasnt very crowded which was nice but I could wish for some sort of shower/ clean water source before getting off the sand so we wouldnt bring in so much sand every time.

Wifi was a blazing 1.5mbps at the reception and died off after 5-10 meters. (In other words pretty awful)

Awful manager, cosy otherwise

Just returned from a week here with a group of girl friends. What a fabulous time. The apartments were situated right on the beach and were very clean and well kept. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. A few nice tavernas and a couple of supermarkets close  by but also on good bus route ( for less than 2 euros) into other resorts ( Aghia Marina, Platanias and Chania) where there was much more choice. Only down side was the sea was quite rough and so the red flag was flying, at some point, on most days, so guess we were just a bit unlucky there, but the hotel pool was available for us to use if needed. Would definitely recommend 

Great location and lovely people

The location is perfect, on th beach, the bus station outside for Chania, supermarket just outside, max 15 min to Agia Marina by foot. The hotel looks soo much better than in the photos. It is updated and very clean and spacious. The photos need updating. The wifi is one of the best i have seen in a hotel. You can even use it on the beach. The beach is sandy and there is a slow entrence in the water ( ideal for kids or elder people). There are lots of restaurants and a few souvenir shops around. The owners are very nice and ready to help with anything. 
All in all a place i reccommand with all my heart for any type of traveler.

Amazing stay

Close to the beach , cleaned everyday except Sunday,  comfortable. A lot of supermarkets, bars and restaurants at walking distance. We stayed in the 2-bedroom apartment with sea view (photo attached). Sandy beach in font. Not private, not free (5 euro/2 sunbeds).

Good basic accommodation

We stayed there in late July in one bedroom apartment right by the beach. The apartment was newly renovated, clean and fit great for two people. The balcony a bit small but okay for two. The bed was good. 
I liked the location of the hotel because it was quieter here than in Agia Marina - we went there on foot at about 12/15 min - nice walk. There were several shops right outside the door, and a bus stop. 
The beach was super nice and the beach bar was casual and had a nice selection of lunches. The staff at the beach bar were very nice and provided great service. 
I would love to visit again! Thank you very much for a nice week :-)

Nice hotel with good service!

I picked Lia Apartments because my aunt has mobility problems and looking at a well-known hotel website there was suppose to be an attached parking lot. To be fair there was - across the busy road and up a steep inclined road about a 5 minute walk away. The apartment and beach were clean but the room was very small and truthfully rather depressing (somewhat like student digs). 
The lady that cleaned the room was very nice.
There was some confusion about whether I was booked at the Lia or the sister hotel when I arrived but I won't budge - with the relative's problems walking (and the 25 minute wait in the sun for the key) I was ready to chew glass. To sweeten my mood, the owner threw in free air-conditioning.

Clean but very, very basic

The apartment was clean and tidy, but I wouldn't go back. Our apartment was on the ground floor next to the pool bar, so no privacy at all and we had to listen to old English pop music belting out all day, which was annoying. Some nice Greek music would have been nice.The pool bar was expensive, 
fishfingers and chips were 8.50€.
I sat out on the balcony one night and had to come in after 20 minutes as I had been bitten 25 times by mosquitoes,  they were in our apartment too, so I got a plug in repellent,  but still kept being bit so we had to spent the whole holiday with all windows and doors closed which made it very hot and difficult to sleep. Our apartment was right next to the childrens 

play area too, so all in all there was no peace, 
no privacy,and it was expensive, not just in the apartments but in Kato Stalos generally, there was no internet in the rooms only outside,and only one English channel on the old tv and I came home with 52 mosquito bites. If you must stay here avoid room 106.
