Hotel Fteres is situated up in the mountains of Western Greece. It is a full service restaurant with an outside seating terrace, with rooms upstairs. The food is simply the best you will ever have. Valeria is an amazing cook and manager. She only speaks Greek, Romanian, and a little bit of Italian. The hotel is a short drive to Plantaniotissa and Kalavryta. I suggest visiting both places. At the bottom of the mountain is the town of Aigio (pronounced Ay-yoo) where there are some gorgeous rocky beaches (no sand). The weather is mild at the beach, and cool up on the mountain at the hotel. It's a great place to get away from the summer heat. Prices are very cheap and Valeria is a gem.
