Highly recommended for anyone looking for a home away from home and cozy place. I booked a room at Golden Crest Hotel for a business trip and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with the gorgeous room, spacious layout, lovely housekeeping staff, modern upgrades and helpful staff. You can tell that time and attention has gone into making this hotel quite beautiful. Just the right environment for anyone looking to reserve a beautiful hotel in the heart of East Legon.

The Hidden Gem of Accra

I stayed here a couple of times, and found it to be great each time.  The rooms are nice, the restaurant good (but slow), and the staff were more than friendly.  The AC works great and they have a generator when the power goes out.  This is a nice, secure hotel.  

Most cab drivers could find it if you told them you were going by the French School.

A wonderful place to stay in Accra

We arrived at the hotel after dark.  The directional signage on the streets leading to the hotel is small and easily missed.  We had friends transporting us from the airport to the hotel so there was no problem.  The hotel property is enclosed by an attractive wall and entry gate.  The reception staff is quite helpful and attentive.  The rooms are larger than expected with tile floors.  The decoration is spartan but acceptable and the rooms are quiet.  As expected, air conditioning is provided on a room by room basis and it worked well.  The shower uses electric instant on water heating that drifts a bit from the desired temperature.  Showers in the evening can be taken with any heat added to the water.

A simple eggs and sausage breakfast was included with our room rate. The older style CRT TV worked but the picture was not very good.  The wireless internet worked well at all times.  We enjoyed our two night stay and would use this hotel again.

Clean and Safe Hotel

Great Hotel, great Staff, and very helpful owners.  Food is good and you can get a local beer to wash it down.  Internet is fine, and they have a nice area to sit out and watch the wildlife and birds.  Good location which is quiet. We have stayed many time and always get a very warm welcome.

Golden Crest

They have free Internet, was a bit slow at times but acceptable.  Small, older televisions but good air con.  Nothing around really and the hotel lacks a bar and restaurant - 2 star but a clean one.  Stayed twice and very few guests but some of the staff helpful in getting taxis.  You can go for under 5 cedis to the mall from here, 10 minutes max.  Price is the wonderful part, paid 75$ per night single - does not sound cheap but this is Accra and 3 stars go for 250$.
