Hotel Meesenburg

This is a 1 star hotel in a great location. It is just a short walk from the river, the city center and the convention center. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was simple but good. It consisted of fresh bread and rolls, with several different types of meat and cheese. There was also a selection of jams and honey, each individually packed in it's own small plastic container. Hard boiled eggs, muesli and yorgut rounded out the selection. Orange juice, coffee and tea were also available. No fancy coffee machine, just pots of coffee. The rooms were clean and the bed was ok. The "free" parking is at a city lot for commuters on the other side of the river, which is about a 5 to 10 minute walk away. Or for 12 Euros a day you can park in the convention center parking garage. If you are a light sleeper or dislike noise, you will not be happy here. You can clearly hear your neighbors and the people on the hallway.if you can sleep with earplugs than you will be fine. The hotel has a great location and is a very good value. If you want 4 or 5 star luxury, you will need to go somewhere else and pay 3 to 4 times more per night.
