Der Hanselhof

Beautiful old farmhouse, well appointed and very comfortable. This house has ample room for 12 or 13 people. We had 11 in our group (6 adults and 5 kids) and had one bedroom that went unoccupied. There is also a separate apartment connected to the barn with its own bathroom (we did not use this but it looked nice through the window). The kitchen was well stocked with the basics (salt, pepper, spices, plates, paper products, etc.). The dishwasher wasn't great. Rooms were all simply but comfortably furnished. The connecting barn houses a room with a washer (no dryer) but our clothes all dried overnight. It's about a 1km walk into Ruderratshofen, which has a couple of restaurants and a bakery. Marktoberdorf and Kaufbeuren are both only about a five minute drive and offer many more dining and shopping options. The view on clear days is lovely, with the German Alps clearly visible only 30km to the south. Easy and short drives to many nice sites including Füssen, Neuschwanstein, Ottobeuren, Garmisch, Oberammergau, Ettal, Landsberg am Lech and Augsburg. Only an hour and fifteen minute drive to Munich (in good weather).
