Hotel Ahrbella

We stayed in the Ahrbella Ferienwohnung next to the hotel and I have to say that this was a brilliant idea. The rooms are spacious and exactly as they appear on the website. The location of the accommodation was very good as well, just across the road from the train station - which does not disturb you at all. The "tourist tax" you pay on arrival is actually really good value as you get a Gastekart which allows, among other things, free travel on the local train and bus lines and discounted entrance to local amenities. There is a bakers a few minutes away and the Banhofsstuben is just across the road if you don't fancy walking any distance for some good food, although the walk - even to Ahrweiler - is not that long and a good way to work off the effects of your meal! There is no parking attached so you need to use the pay facility next to the train station but €3 per day is not too bad, just allow for this in your budgeting. all in all this is a great place to stay with easy access to the walks and cycle trails in the area and I can't wait until we return next year
