Clean tidy well appointed, and nicely decorated hotel in a nice location near to the circuit. The owner really went out of his way to make sure we had a great stay at the hotel. Couldn't have asked for more.
  

What to say. RR was great! As earlier visitors wrote, RR goes all the way. Not only is the place new and service great, but they really takes care of you and your car. Very personal and awesome guys!

Close to everything in Nürburg. Breakfast is in the Restaurant next to RR. Great internet.
I will surely visit again!

With any other service I would usually give a 4/5 rating for a good service, but Racer's Retreat went the extra mile and deserves more than a 5/5 rating. Apart from being in a great location - walkign distance to restaurants, the nurburgring building, teh castle ...etc Markus, the host was very communicative and made our stay the most enjoyable giving us insights on the locality, and hosting us in one of the RR modern apartments. We also had rented the RR BMW E36 at a similar price of other companies entry level Suzuki Swifts ... Now I can brag with my friends I've been around the ring in an E36 and haven't broken the bank :)

I didn't actually get to stay at Racer's Retreat, but my review pertains to the horrible   service and poor communication I received from Markus at Racer's Retreat throughout the booking process. Originally, I had booked multiple rooms 4-5 month in advance for a weekend in June via booking.com. The rooms were advertised as benefitting from the standard "free cancellation" and "pay at the the property" policies offered by booking, however Racer's Retreat decided to charge my credit card right away for the full amount without notifying me in anyway (I only found out from my cc statement in February). During March my friends cancelled their travel plans and as a result I cancelled the whole booking and asked Markus for a refund of the full amount as I had cancelled within the free cancellation period. At first he answered my emails / phone calls and promissed to refund the money right away. A couple of weeks later I still hadn't received a refund and therefore emailed him again, but got no response. I kept trying to contact him directly for a couple of months. Markus ignored three emails, three phone calls, and two voice mail messages I left. Finally, I had to go through the customer service desk at booking.com to get my money back. After I filled my claim they also tried to contact Markus on my bahalf to compel him to refund the money, but ultimately even they failed to do so. Today, I finally got paid back by booking.com and not Racer's Retreat. Nothing that Markus writes in response to this reviews can negate these facts and pardon his highly unprofessional attitude. It is such a pity that the communication and booking experience was so poor and unresponsive. When I first booked I was very excited to stay in what looks like a well designed B&B, but after my negative experience I won't be booking with them again.
