PRISMA Parkhotel Wehrle

What a find. We liked it so much that from the one-night booking we stayed another night. Upon arrival at this hotel, dated back to the 16th century, one is welcomed at the reception and ushered to a wonderful room in the main building, where one enters a large bedroom but with a larger bathroom with a full functioning jacuzzi bath. Awesome. On the same ground, one goes to a great and well-designed spa & wellness center. It pales out many other spas we have visited before. The wellness center has many saunas, steam rooms, ice room and restrooms with water beds. It cannot get better. Below there is a large swimming pool with a solarium section, easy relaxing hammocks, and a bar/small restaurant. We are booked on half board and we were so surprised of the lovely restaurants old but so well maintained, where super friendly staff are looking after you and the chef cooked from two independent menus one be the traditional Black Forest cuisine with a twist and the second one a fusion of many kitchen styles with a mix of the traditional Black Forest cooking. Just in one word, sensational a real foodie retreat. The village has not much to offer, except the largest waterfall in Germany and the Black Forest museum, but the hotel makes it up. Thumbs up. Highly recommended.
